Sorry this is a little late, but with 12 days to go until camp I thought it time to finally get the South Camp Itinerary up for all to see! Being a smaller camp this doesn't really have to be followed religiously, it's more of a guide so people don't feel stuck for what to do at any point So feel free to shake it up! If it says walk but it's raining and you want to huddle under the gazebo for an hour or two feel free Friday 12pm: People can start to arrive at the campsite - we've been given the use of 'our own' field so make sure you pitch in the right one. Staff there should point you in the right direction Try to get there before 5pm or it'll be too d…

As much as I loved camp (S), there are a couple of things that I really wish I'd had in place a couple of weeks before. The trauma of going to camp was so bad that I had a bad dream a few days beforehand: Moll's dad and I decided to get married - at camp!! , and Timber was the 'Best Man' - complete with dickie bow tie. There was obviously a lot on my mind, but a couple of things that rested it were as follows: 1. Stake out lines...with 3 dogs, this was a constant worry. However, Moll's dad and I sorted the whole thing for less than £40.00 - and within our own street! There is a steel works place/workshop 2 doors down from us and he made us 3 mooring stake…

I'm all settled at home now after getting back from South Camp this afternoon and I've been looking through at the aftermath posted on the forum so far. Most of these have focused on North Camp which was to be expected as it was bigger than our little camp, but I just wanted to post this up so we don't get glossed over too much First of all, I just want to say thank you to everyone who came along. Some people came from quite far away to get here, some tried hard to work around other commitments by only staying one or two nights, some people brought along things for the camp such as a rig, a gazebo, etc, and there was just generally a great atmosphere on the campsite…

I just wanted to say how good Staceybob is. I joined in the training she did on leads and walking to heal. It was amazing what you can do with the right knowledge and equipment. I walked both of mine at heal during the training. I am most certainly going to continue with the method taught by Stacey. Plus if Alue is any indication of a good trainer that's all the advertisement you need. Thank you Stacey xx Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner

Well that's our first Camp over with and we had a blast. It's really nice to be able to put faces to names and meet all of the gorgeous 'kids'. We even came away with a certificate and rosette (even if it was only 4th place!!!). Can't believe we have to wait for April until the next one. Thanks for a fab weekend all who came. See you all soon.

i'm not sure if there will be first timers there or not and this post is not supposed to offend anybody. Can everyone please make sure that their pitch/caravan is left as it is found and treated with respect that it deserves. For them to allow so many dogs (especially ones that can look intimidating to the untrained eye) in one place together is amazing and i dont want husky owners as a site (nor do sarah and marc i would hazard a guess) or members to have their names tarnished. many thanks see you there wooooo hoooooooxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Not sure if this is the right section but I hope so. Right here goes, Nanook has just come into season. We are coming to camp. Would everyone be more comfortable and think it a good idea that she have a red bandana? She came into season during April camp as some of you will prob remember lol. I am sure that she will be fine with all other dogs/ people but I would hate for us to be the silly people who brought there in season bitch to camp. Idea's/ thoughts/ suggestions please Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Forum Runner

So some of you may know I'm running a seminar at the October camp at 3pm on the Sunday. The seminar will include a look into the lead and what it is, how to walk a single dog loose leash and how to walk multiple dogs loose lead. I'm looking to take on a maximum of 10 people. To book a place it's £3 per person, £1 from every person will go towards Husky-Owners fund. I must please ask that those attending must have somewhere safe to keep their dog until the exercise with their dog is required as the first section will be a brief discussion and we want people listening and dogs not jumping everywhere. I must also ask from other members of camp plea…

As those who have been to camp know, each year we have an awards ceremony - this year it will be slightly different (chuckles) Awards will be given out in the style of TV programs eg: Gadget Show Award - For the geekiest person (AKA Marc lol) Antiques Roadshow award - for the oldest person at camp Victor Meldrew Award - for the person who moans the most Game for a laugh award - for the person most up for anything There is more but i'm keeping them a secret! Susan came up with the idea so thank her if you get a dodgy one!!! SEE YOU FRIDAY!!!!!!

Have we got the dat for camp next year yet please? Just looked at my holiday list from work and got a horrible feeling we may still be in school as the holidays have been moved next year! Can't make october camp this year, finances just won't allow, plus bad back so lifting a tent etc not a good idea. Tilly and I are hoping to come along for the day on the Saturday though to see everyone.
