Hi all I'm new to the forum and am an ex Siberian Husky owner, but hopefully will be again soon. My last sibe Ishka passed away in 2003 and is dearly missed. I have noticed that a few of the KC registered sibes here have some of the same decendents as her, makes me feel good to see that. Rajarani Nordikar was her father and Huskys Girl Gray Scott her mother. I also noticed Festus of Glengarryand Skimarque Shareef The Snowolf on here too. Hopefully we'll get a new puppy soon and I'll share our experiences with you all. Steve

Hi...I'm Lucy and I am owned by two lovely huskys! Misha 7months, and Skye 9 months. They are both rescue pups, Misha having had to fight for food against much bigger dogs came to us very very skinny and although she was 5 moths wouldn't have looked out of place with a litter of 8weekers, and Skye came from a family who had't considered the needs of a sibe before buying her  They are good girls, who will be great runners next season We live on the outskirts of Sheffield! Hello, I am Sammie, i am Siberianandy's wife and we live in the west midlands with our 9 week old siberian husky! We bought him home yesterday and he is already showing his funny personality!! We are still picking a name out for out little boy but we are strongly leaning towards unusual names, malakai is a strong contender at the moment but i like the idea of having an alaskan name with a good meaning! Hope to get to know you all a little better!

Hi all, My name is Anne and I am the proud owner of Dakota, a beautiful 10 month old Sib. Though I've had many dogs in my life, this is my first Sib and will not be my last. As I've heard, I am already feeling the pull to have another added to our family. I hope to learn lots from this forum and look forward to getting to know you all. Anne

Hey guys, I'm a 19 year old college student and I'm in love with huskies! The only problem is, I don't have one anymore! In September 2007 when I was a senior in High School my mother brought up the idea of getting a husky and I was pretty indifferent. She had found one at the local SPCA though and brought home a beautiful 3-year old Siberian Husky female that we named Chloe. Chloe had the split eye which I found very cool. At first I didn't care much for her but I soon warmed up to her when I realized how amazing huskies are. She was so mysterious and elegent, I love the fact that she howled instead of barking (though she almost never made noise). …

Hi Everyone, My name is Kevin McDonald ( PeiperSky7) and I am proudly owned by Peiper (5) and Sky (2),we live in Hampshire,UK. Sky is on the left of my avatar picture and Peiper on the right,I will upload some pictures to my Album later today. Peiper has been with us since she was a puppy and is a much loved member of our family - my little girl calls her "sister" and she is remarkably laid back and loved by eveyone she comes into contact with, she is a great ambassador for the breed. Sky joined us from someone who was about to go on a 20 month tour of Afghanistan and sadly could not arrange for her to have regular exercise in h…

Hello to all from the Lone Star State! We've had our husky Ripley for 5 years. She pretty much runs the house, although we just had our first baby three months ago and Ripley is figuring out her new place in the family. No complaints about her at all ... she's a sweetie ... and we'll probably add one more to the crew once the baby gets older. Thanks!

I just wanted to say hello as a new member. I have never thought much about Huskies until about two weeks ago when my sister called. Two months earlier she bought a AKC registered Husky and had by this time decided she couldn't take care of it. No big surprise to the rest of us in the family. I had already read some about the dog figuring I'd get a call soon. We currently have a 1 1/2 year old Golden Retriever named Lady and were worried about how adding a new Husky would fit. So, in short, my sister GAVE me her $500 dog and it didn't take long to realize, he was not only going to fit in perfectly, but has actually curbed some of Ladies bad behaviors. We feed our dogs on …

Hi, my name is Erich. I currently don't have a husky, but I am going to pick up 1 or maybe 2 puppies from a musher sunday. I am married with 2 kids. Just moved to Alaska. I like to hunt and fish and I want to get into recreational dog sledding, I have always wanted a husky, but I grew up in Arizona and the temperature really isn't good for artic dogs. Now that I'm in Alaska i can finally get a few. Looking forward to talking to you all and learning about this great breed. Erich

We also have a (nearly) year old son called Joshua, who is the sweetest baby ever! My avatar picture is when we went skiing in the alps (not my dogs unfortunately!), there was a guy who did husky/eskimo dogs and i think he had a couple of akitas sled rides, most awesome experience ever, he only did 4 runs a day (about half hour 45 mins or …

Hi, just joined up, found you all via facebook. My partner Suzy and I are from Leicester and have kept GSD's for years, unfortunately we lost Tyson at the good age of 14 last year and after a long process and research we have decided to add a Siberian Husky to the mad house. Collecting our new adition at the beginning of march and cant wait, may need a lot of help and advice so be patient with me! I have a question about colour but will ask in a seperate thread as this is for introductions. Great to have found you all! Graham
