Introducing yourself (and using the forum in general) is actually pretty simple. But if you havent used a forum before, here is how to make your introduction to get yourself started. First scroll down the page and find the introductions section. Click on this Once you are there, you are in a the introductions 'forum' where you can see all other peoples introductions. You can click to view any of these if you like, but for now, click on "New topic" which is how you will create your own (Ignore the fact I am in the wrong forum here ) From here, creating your introduction is as easy as 1, 2, 3 post Add a title for your…

Hi and welcome to Husky-Owners! This forum was started by myself and my husband Marc in October 2008. I'd just got my first husky, Kimba and wanted to build a forum for like minded husky owners so that we could share our pictures, memories, tears and happiness and everything in between, that comes from being owned by this magnificent breed. I now have 3 gorgeous boys As this place grew, we started arranging meets in local areas which then turned into taking holidays together. We now have "Husky Camp" once a year in the UK and in Iowa in the US where we go on walks, play games, have awards, and at night when the dogs are tired we sit around a camp fire having a drink…

Hello! My name is Alicia, I am from New York. I was looking for a good forum , To make friends with other husky owners. I love to share stories and pictures of my husky. I currently own a pure breed , Hes 4 years old. His name is Mason. Mason, Is a very sweet, cuddling machine. He likes to open all of the doors in the house! But we do not close them. Mason, is a black and white, with brown eyes. He likes to play and has bad sweet tooth. I have owned Mas since he was 8 weeks old. He likes to tell me hes the boss. He yells food at all hours of the day and night. He loves snow and checks the windows and doors daily for signs of white cold stuff! We do not like to …

Hey guys! I know its been awhile since I've posted on here and I'm sorry . I've been extremely caught up in both school, and spending time with my pup, Azzor! One thing I've found out, is that you guys were right all along! There really is no way to completely prepare for your new pup, until he comes home. It's been an adventure every day, and after almost a year (Jeesh already?!) My boy has learned Sit, lay, come, kennel up, and of course, kisses. There has been a lot to overcome, (we had a few issues with potty training,) But now that everything is said and done with, I wouldn't change the way he is for the world! We've both come a long ways since he first came home las…

Have been reading lots, and lots, and lots online - and have come across your site several times. Sasha decided she would register an account - what a clever husky pup !! Sasha was 10 weeks old yesterday, and just had her first vaccination. She's settling in pretty well so far, and is so adorable and loving. Night times shes been sleeping in the bedroom with us, and has been amazing, not one little accident yet, but im sure she will have one at some point and thats understandable. She is still very clingy for obvious reasons, shes come from a large litter ( 11 in total ) so shes missing her mum and siblings but shes starting to settle down. …

Hi all! We're Anne and Bill and we have a wonderful and quizzical 10 year old wooly Husky named Aru (but she also responds to Fluffy). Our daughter talked us into buying her and then decided we were much more suited to raising her than she was. Duh. So we've had a wonderful 10 years with her so far and actually done pretty well in agility training. Now she's got some medical issues but we're working through them for a few more years with her.

Hi Introducing my lovely Zeus i've been told he's a cross between a Northern Inuit & a husky... He's approximately 18 month old & i've had him about 12 months. I love watching him play with other dogs, he gets really excited bounding over to play, especially when he can play chase in fact, I feel guilty if I walk him & he hasn't had a play with other dogs . He will paddle in any water, the dirtier the better. He never seems to get tired of running, no matter how long i'm out! He knows basic commands but is selective about obeying especially recall! He can be left alone without any problems. He's more likely to rag cushions & shoes, s…

My wife has wanted a dog. And I always wanted a husky. After years, she finally broke me down and we got a Siberian Husky. I have had pets before but my wife never has. Everyone warned me about getting a husky, all the dangers and nuances of a husky, but we held steadfast and he has been nothing short of amazing. We got him at 9 weeks on 1/25/15, he is now 5 months and super amazing. He understands alot of commands, he is great with kids, as everyone in the neighborhood wants to pet him. Just taking him for walks, we get stopped numerous times just so people could say hello. I am new to this community and look to be apart of it for years to come. Welcome Cerberus!

Hi everyone, my name is Scott. Me and my wife Amanda just got our 1st husky puppy. The people who live up the street from my mother in law have a 3 year old female husky who had a litter. We aren't sure what the father of the puppies is??? Well she was selling them for $200 apiece, but told my wife that she and her mother could each have one for free because they were such good friends. So about 2 weeks ago I came home from work and my wife was showing me the puppy she got for her mom and asked me what I thought. Of coarse I told her that she was cute and she said, "Good, because here is ours" and brought out out little Kali from around the corner. She is adorable and w…

Hey everyone! My name's Claire and after a life-long dream of wanting to own my very own husky I finally took the plunge and adopted one last week. I'd done plenty of research prior to getting her and stumbled upon this site whilst searching for a secure 'dog park' type area near to where we live... and all I can say is 'WOW!!!' The community here seems so helpful and friendly, and the amount of info you have on these forums is truly priceless! So my baby is called Mika - she's roughly 5 years old and so far she's been an absolute angel... which kinda makes me nervous haha. She's a bit manky and smelly even after a quick bath a few days ago, don't think she wa…

Hi, I'm Jamie, we just adopted a Husky/Wolf mix. He's about 18 months old, we believe he is deaf. I'm hoping to learn how to efficiently start training with him. I've taught hand commands to my previous dogs but not sure how to go about it with a pup thats deaf.

Hi all, I have been a member for a wee while now but never posted before. I am more of a spectator. Love looking at the photos and reading about everyone. So thought it was time to jump in. We have Bumble a 2yr old GS and Chilli our 1yr old sibe boy. This is our 1st sibe and must say "they are nothing like any other breed of dog I know of" not that I am an expert or anything but I have always had dogs. I was the little girl that went around rescuing strays and bringing them home, to my Mums continued horror. Anyway, hes at that age now where he needs more, I hope to get involved with you guys and would appreciate any info on up and coming events/meetings near by (Ch…

Hello All, My name is Shawn and this is my baby girl Rockette. We are new members to the forum and glad to see a place for people to converse about our loving pets. Here are a few pics of Rockette. She is 6 months old now, the first pic is of the first day she came home at 10 weeks. About me: 25 year old military vet. I bought Rockette at the recommendation of my health care provider as a companion dog to help me deal with my PTSD and she has been a blessing. About Rockette: 6 month old puppy. I am pretty sure she is a Husky...just not sure if she is pure breed as I rescued her from a shelter. She is the greatest companion dog anyone coul…

Hello everyone, I am getting two husky puppies in couple weeks. I only planned to get one but after visiting the breeder I know for sure I don't ever want my babies to alone. I have heard about that it is a bad Idea to get 2 puppies at once, but I will try my best to train them to be independernt. During weekdays I plan to put them in different daycares. Anyway, if anyone ever had succefull stories with raising littermates I would appreciate any insights or tips. Thank you very much. And here is the photos of my boys at 3 weeks:

So, I got my 2nd potato chip...err I mean Husky today! Lol I lost my boy Wollie recently from a tumor that couldn't be operated on :-( So the gigantic Tsunami is almost 10 weeks old and comes from an extremely nice breeder that's very particular about her Huskies! I only fetched him this afternoon and when I got home we have no power due to loadshedding :-( So photos will have to wait until power is restored... Smokey missed Wollie so much that I had to get her a buddy to keep her company! And he's a little fluffball!
