This was just taken this morning. The girls are learning to wait for the Okay signal before diving in to their food. I did not catch the 'dance' they do just prior but will have to do so for you. It's quite a frenzy before they calm down. No food until everyone is calm. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" "></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" " type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> <o…

I have heard loads of huskies talking over the years, God knows, Myshka does enough of it, but Diesel just makes me laugh! He doesn't talk, he rumbles! It's like thunder. He doesn't do it often, but when he does, I LOVE it!!!! Turn up your volume! See what you think - a rare rumble off Diesel, then he does his usual - lies down!! :-

Some photos of Brighteyes. On the beach at Costa Teguise Brighteyes being brave Nobody going to steal my chew even when i'm asleep Sunrise walks are the best. Btw, the boat behind was used by African immigrants who came ashore the night before and although you can't see but all around are the wet clothes they changed out of,baby, small kids, adults. Really makes you wonder how desperate they must be, lots don't make it alive Not standing still!.

I just posted these in the health/training thread but thought I should probably put these up here. This is me working with Zero on all of his tricks. Training: heel, wait, formal retrieval (sit at heel, throw dumbbell, and "take" so he'll retrieve it then "give" to i can take the dumbbell from him), finish, drop, come, automatic sit, stand, stay, sit, come to heel, left about turn. Tricks:back, sit, wait, hi 5, wave, rock on, shake, paw, down, beg, stand, spin, heel, circles, stay, come to heel, touch and dance. Formal retrieval (for obedience trialling): Enjoy!

Waaaaaay back in April I think! there was a weight pulling competition held here in Ireland, the first one ever. Diesel entered, and did brilliantly. He had never pulled anything other than a scooter before this, with me standing behind him obviously, so it was all very new to him and me. This was his first attempt. YouTube - Husky weight pulling Getting into his stride now, no problem at all. Well into the competition, and finding it a bit harder, this was about 6 times his own weight The last time I'd let him pull, I took him out of the competition after this, didn't want him gett…

Hello everyone I uploaded a little video this afternoon that I thought I would share with you all. Micha is (almost) seven years old and really hasn't done much formal obedience training. Generally, I do more obedience work with my beagle, because I'm training her for competition - Micha and I just train for fun. He really loves training and is a fast learner. He is very food and toy motivated, but in this particular video I am using food as a motivator and reward. I taught him how to do right about and left turns literally two days ago. As you'll see in the video, this is when I turn around and he either follows me, or moves around my back to stay …

I took some more pictures of my boy today and thought I would share. Running: Bored, waiting for me to finish feeding the horses: "Hi!" Modeling his brand new collar. Saw that collar and thought it would look neat on him! His collar has a US Air Force button thing on it And these dog tags: Thanks for looking!

Hi guys Uploaded this video for a friend of mine today, to show her the style of left about turns I do with Daisy. I thought I would share it with you guys, it's a very average video and my footwork is awful (I step off with the wrong foot at least twice ) but I was pretty pleased with Daisy's focus considering we haven't done any real formal obedience work in a few months. Wanted to share so you could all "meet" my pretty girl She's two years old and we hope to trial for our CCD obedience title later this year. At the moment I am doing a type of training called training in drive, which is why we haven't done any formal training recently. This is n…
