Thought i would share. Its called Taste of the Wild. (the have 3 different flavors) and also one for cats. I get her the Pacific Stream formula with smoked salmon. Grain Free. First ingredient is Salmon. I paid $44 for a 30 lb bag. And my Sibe loves it. She was mad when I told her she had to finish her old food (natural balance) before she could have the new stuff. She still has 1/2 a container of the old stuff left to go. But when thats gone i'm switching to this stuff. http://www.tasteofthewildpetfood.com/

For those that are unsure what Im on about here is the original thread - http://www.husky-owners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3679 We have now finally taken the plunge and I'm sooo nervous now! This is who we are going with - http://www.purechaos2calm.com/ We are booked in for a 2 hour inital consultation with her on Friday 18th September at 7:30pm. I really hope this works! My biggest worry has to be Jamie's dad as he doesnt like doing things he is told to do, I just hope he does co-operate for the dogs sake's! Will be taking notes through the consultation so I have something to look back on and keep everyone updated!

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I just read on a general dog forum that a sibe owner has been told never to give raw eggs to sibes. I will give my lot raw eggs on occasion, shell and all, and they have been known to steal the shell off work surfaces - I know, a husky counter surfing, who would have thunk it! Anybody know if there is a reason why sibes in particular shouldn't be given raw eggs?

We tend 2 treat our ladies like humans and i'm worried it may not always be good 4 them. In the morning when we have tea my husband makes them with watered down milk and a little sugar. Is this bad. Skylah also luvs her jam and toast. She doesnt get it often. maybe once a week, and then only a few small pieces of toast. How bad if this.

I know Kai had a rough past because of being forced to eat in a small amount of time. Does anybody have any suggestions of how I could help him stop doing this? He eats so fast that pretty much on a daily basis he will gag himself or choke from eating so fast. Then later on he ends up having an upset stomach and either burps or farts (yeah, my dog is such a pig haha). He went almost 3 years of his life eating like that, so I just worry that one day he is going to choke for real and hurt himself. Thanks!

OM goodness! I am absolutely shocked! So, like I said in chat I had to go buy more dog food today. The store I wanted to go buy the Innova from only has BIG $60 bags of it in stock...so I have to wait another week on that. I went over and bought Iams smart puppy food at the PX here on base and figured I would just suppliment for the week.... Chewy ate the entire bowl in record time and came asking for more!!!!! After a month of insanely picky eating (and several months before that of being just normal picky) he hogged down the Iams food...I am so glad I bought it!!!!!!! I had never tried Iams with my dogs before but now Im officially impressed.…

Anybody got any cures for bad breath? Kai's teeth look perfect, but UGH does his breath stink! I brush his teeth once a week and it really doesn't seem to do anything for it. he chews on his flossy rope thing too but that only kills the bad breath for like an hour.

After much reading, I've realized that I need to do something different, and that I probably need a little help from the more experienced people here. So here's where we're at now: Simba (male) is 10 to 12 months old and 48 pounds (~21.8kg) Naala (female) is 12 to 14 months old and 44 pounds (~20kg) Both are eating crappy food (dry food, lots of filler) I'll be looking into some butchers and meat markets over the next few days to see which places will be good. Right now, I'm thinking probably dry in the mornings (but will be getting a more nutritious dry). In the afternoon/evenings it will be either raw or a mixture of dry and raw. …

As I sit here watching Kai devour his porkhide bone (I refuse to give him rawhide) I wonder, how much is too much? I gave him this 9in long bone an hour ago and already he is 3/4 of the way through it. Is it ok to let him eat the whole thing, or should I take it away from him and only let him chew on it so often? I worry about giving him too many, but he loves to chew on them!

I'm guessing sprained, but could it be a break? So last night my wife and I went to a baseball game and left Kaiya with friends of ours. Our friends have a 2 yr old lab that Kaiya knows and plays very well with. Apparently they played the entire time together, probably about 4 hours or so (this is the longest play date she has had). When we got home, Kaiya was fine, acting herself, walking fine, no issues. She did get me up at about 2:30 am (about 2.5 hours after we went to bed) to go outside and pee, this isn't like her but her schedule was off last night due to us going out so I really didn't think too much of it. We went out, she did her business and we cam…

Hi there everyone! I am really hoping I can get some positive feedback as well as some advice on the topic of training abused animals.Let me tell you the history of Kai. Kai was abused ever since he was a puppy. When he was born (in Poland) he was shipped to a family here in Germany. When they got him, he was forced to stay inside his kennel with only 5 minutes to go outside to use the bathroom and eat. For the first 2 years of his life he knew nothing but abuse. Once he started getting older, the abuser would kick him with his combat boots (yes, sadly, he was military) and throw him down the stairs when he didn't do what he was told. Once the man who did that to hi…

IF there was something else that he had ate that could still be inside him, would there be any signs? i have cleaned my house top to bottom to make sure he doesnt find anything else and have warned the kids to move everything whe…

Hey all, Sorry for not being around as of late, but I've started a second job and have been super busy. I'm looking for a little bit of advice on this one. Since I've been working the second job, I've obviously been away from the house more. Finn is obviously home alone more as a result. So, here's the situation. I can't leave her home alone and let her roam the house because she will do her business in my bedroom. (When there was a flood in my apartment it brought the smell up through the hardwood from the last pet owner, and now I can't get her to stop going there no matter how many times I clean / enzyme / peroxide it) I …
