We've had sherlock for a couple of months now and he keeps having diarrhea. back in November (last year) he had major bloody diarrhea and we got all sorts of blood work and tests done and nothing came back positive, after they gave him antibiotics and probiotics he got better and was good until just now (April). now he's starting to get diarrhea again and overall doesn't seem to be feeling too good. we want to avoid a vet visit if possible because of the insane cost last time around. Please let me know if anyone has any idea what is causing this or how to stop/prevent it!

Took Kissuna to the vet at a different location but still the same company. So we saw a different vet. While talking to her she told me she used to breed sibes. I told her that I had been looking for a vet who knows the breed better, so I might start going to her. I asked what she thought of his weight. She said he is a little under weight but that it was nothing to worry about. So pretty much what the other vet had told me. Then she asked what we are feeding him. I told her blue buffalo wilderness and she cringed and asked if we would like her opinion on something better. Even though we just got Kissuna on this and I'm seeing signs of a good dog food, I figured why not, …

My Sib is 8 years old and he has developed problems with skin above the eyes getting infected. We have tried everything, kibble, cooked chicken and rice with veggies, sometimes fish and medication. Also Zinpro zinc supplements. He roams free on two acres and can come and go into the house as he wishes through a doggie door. The only thing which helps is the steroid Prednisone, which has side effects. He has been in and out of the Vet several times, with no other solution so far. Any experience or help will be appreciated.

Hello, My little kid is experiencing issues with his back. There was a spot near his tail when we brought him home, but now it's spreading across his entire back. I took him to the vet, and last time, they cut off the hair and applied some cream, but it doesn't seem to have resolved the issue, as it continues to spread. It’s hard skin and it’s paining, Can anyone provide advice on what I should do?

Has anyone's huskies had problems after eating a Whimzees all-natural, gluten-free dental chew? I found these at a privately owned pet store and was on sale! I heard about greenies and wanted to stay away from them so I thought I'd give Whimzees a try. I gave Gumi, my precious husky, the medium alligator veggie chew and immediately after she got sick the next 24-hours. It's been 3 weeks now where she has been losing her appetite, vommitting, and having diarrhea. I've taken her to the vet many times and emergency once. Right now she is doing fluid therapy daily for about a week and on pain medication and antibiotics. I've spent so much money, close to $1000 now, and I'…

Hi Everybody! Hope you are all well. I have recently became a proud husky dad to my Loki! He is brilliant and i love him very much! Over the last couple of days here in England it has been very hot. I've been trying to keep him as cool as I can. Over night he seemed to have sweated a little and has woken up with this redness around his muzzle area. (Ill add some pictures) Does anyone know what this is? Should I be concerned? Should i take him down to the vets? He seems fine in himself! eating drinking and playing as usual. Thank you for any advice you can give me in advanced! Hope everyone …

Hi and thanks for reading this. My husky is pedigree syberian about 1yr 4 months old male in tact. Ive had him since 7 weeks old & fully vaccinated up to date. Issue 1 - person keeps telling me he looks unwell for 2 main reasons one being he is skinny? and his coat. Now as we all know having huskies they shed like a snowstorm in a tornado and that is what he has been doing for past couple months so obviously he is not as puffy. He weighs around 25.7kg if I remember correctly from last vets visit. Vets say he is a good weight but I am unsure or trusting of some vets. He eats but will never eat dog food in fact will flip it and pee on it in protest. He …

Anyone give their dog CBD? Tuff a few months ago had knee surgery and needs some joint care after. I started him on some joint supplements and it caused bloody stool. So I took him off of them and got it all cleared up. I got him some cbd drops (bacon flavored) for dogs and was interested if anyone else has tried any. I take cbd for joint pain and it works well on humans. Also I should add that his is for dogs not humans. Thoughts?

Hey, first time poster as I'm browsing the Internet trying to find any info I can. My Husky/Shepard mix, Marceline is experiencing this wound/skin issue thing on her bottom lip that got a secondary infection that doesn't seem to be clearing up. Although the infection died down the thing on her lip doesn't seem any better and her mouth has started to get a bunch of ulcers. This could be due to the medication (antibiotics, inflammation reducer, pain pill, probiotics) or it may be related. It could also be a zinc deficiency thing or maybe a food allergy? I've seen the vet a couple of times about this issue and she has a biopsy scheduled for Wednesday, but my Dr. re…

Hey guys, Im new here so hope you dont mind me posting I have 2 huskies Bandit and Narla and Narla has been having some problems with her nose for over 3 months now. As you can see in the picture her nose is quite snotty / runny and really dry on the outside. She has had xrays done and a camera up her nose but the vets just dont know what it is. The only thing they have said is it could be something called chronic rynitus (not sure on the spelling). I was just wondering if anyone has had a similar problem or if any ideas as to what it could be as the vets just arnt really helping Regards Neil

My baby Lobo is 13/14ish this year and is slowly starting a mental decline. He's forgotten potty training and will only go in one spot in the apartment, absolutely REFUSES to pee/mark or poo outside unless he cant hold it and the poo comes out. He's forgotten his basic commands "sit, shake, lay" and sometimes seems to not remember his name. Has anyone experienced a cognitive decline in their baby? If so, what did you do to help it? He's currently taking some "cognition bites" we ordered off Amazon and Chewy.

I think my Nyla baby has a zinc deficiency. Goofball can’t sit still for a picture, but she has a sore on her nose roughly the size of a quarter that has been bleeding. In August, she had a grand mal seizure. I took her to the vet and they diagnosed her as having epilepsy. Now, today, I have found a sore on her nose that I think is linked to zinc deficiency and I also believe that is what causes her seizures... my local vet is clearly not an expert on the matter. Does anyone have any input or have a husky that has zinc deficiency? I changed her diet back in August, but clearly it may not be enough. I ordered a zinc supplement called Nutrazinc and am waiting for it to arri…

I am a proud new owner of a 12 week old female Siberian Husky. Zoey is her name. I had her since she was 8 weeks and she is the best ever. I’m having an issue with her eating her kibble. I’ve bought various brands and found at 9 weeks she was eating Nulo Puppy food for large breeds. I mix in a little water to get the kibble a bit soft but after 2 weeks of it she goes out of her way not to eat. She does eat food just not that kibble. Any suggestions please? A trainer advised that I was giving her too much human food (grilled chicken and brown rice) and that’s got her wanting only that. I need to train her to eat this so she might stay a day without eating a lot but if I st…

Hey everyone! I recently got a husky and had him on puppy food. I realized it wasn’t the healthiest puppy foods, so I switched him to All Life Stages for about a month. I had to go to specialty military training for a month, so a friend of mine took care of him. When I came home, he told me he had switched my dog’s food to Purina One Chicken & Rice flavor (the adult one). He was about 5 months at the time. Now he is around 8 months and still on it. — My question is this: Is it too late to switch him back to puppy food or should I go back to All Life Stages? He’s growing, but it seems like he isn’t as big as he should be at 8mo. add. He’s the runt if that ha…

Hi everyone, My 11 months old husky infected with parvo virus and he is with better condition right now. However, he lost so much weight in treatment process. So i want to give him some supplemantaries to both recovering his condition and strenghten his immune system. Another reason that i give him these supplemantaries is a chronic illness for huskies which is hip dyslexia. So with a recommendation of my friend whose malamute dogs, i thinking to buy King K9 and Canina Canhydrox GAG. Here is the links; https://www.kingk9.co.uk/product/muscle-performance/ https://homelabvet.com/product/canina-petvital-canhydrox-gag-for-dogs-60-1020-tab/ Is anybo…

From time to time, our 6yo husky has stomach issues where his stomach grumbles very loudly and he gets lethargic, loses his appetite and does not drink much water. He even refuses his favorite treats at this time. These episodes are usually followed by a period of time where he releases excessive amount of putrid gas. anyone here experience anything similar? The vet has not been able to diagnose it yet and it breaks our hearts to see him suffer like this.
