I wanted to hear other husky owners thoughts on feeding your sibe table food. I currently feed my sibe table food often but only in relation to the amount of his or her dog food and excercise that they have had the dayof. Anyone else feed thier sibe table food and if so how often?

Kota is an (almost) 19 month old husky living in Minnesota. He's pretty lazy because we can't run him as much as we should. For as long as I can remember having him he's always panted a lot. Of course he would when we take him to the park and on walks, but he also does it when he hasn't done any sort of physical activity (like sitting around in the house). For example we could be sitting on the couch together and he would just be slowly panting. It wasn't fast or rough. But for clarification its not CONSTANT but it does happen a lot. For a while I thought it was cute because it seemed relaxing (if that makes sense) but now it sort of worries me. We're just getting into th…

So my pups have been itching really really bad for the past 6 weeks. Took them to the vet. LOL No medical reason why. No hot spots (yet), no allergies. I was thinking of smearing 100% coconut oil on them for 10/15 minutes and then rinsing it out. Never had a dog with this issue. It is very dry and we go from 76 to 32 in 24 hours. Do you guys think this will work? Any suggestions would be great. I have started them on salmon oil but may that take awhile.

Curious if anyone can identify. New pup. Have had for roughly a month. We purchased from a “breeder”. He developed these spots after a week or so. Vet gave an antibiotic to help clear them up but didn’t really seem too concerned. He does seem to scratch them a bit but not uncontrollably. They seem dry and flakey. Losing hair on the spots. So far, one is on his back side, ear, hind leg, and front paw. Nothing new since the antibiotic. Kind of looks like a type of mange.

Welcome Tori, Is she spayed? Have you noticed a difference in how much water she drinks? How is her stool? Does she go pee a lot? Is she eating normal? Could she have gotten into anything?

I noticed Luna has a bald spot on the top side of her paw. I tried to have a look but she’s always been stubborn while trying to diagnose. There is no blood and she keeps licking it, it doesn’t seem to hurt. I will most likely take her to the vet in the morning and just wondered if anyone has had this problem also? Marley has reached the goal I set myself when he had his first epileptic fit. He used to fit around once a month or a bit less - then had a spate of 4 in 12 days in Feburary, 3 in two days The vet said it wasn't possible - but through various herbal remedies then going onto CBD oil - trying three different ones - this last one has got him there !!!!!! Today we had a party dinner to celebrate. Fresh chicken breast, a little pork, beef mince, sardines (his favourite), fresh salmon, - and some lamb's liver! He used to hate liver but last week he decided it was worth trying to eat instead of just rolling in it. Lunar thought all his birthdays had come at…

The pups will be turning 7 months at the end of this month and boy the time flies by. (I have to wait until they are sleeping so they are still long enough for me to take a picture) The boy got neutered first and ended up getting pneumonia shortly afterwards. Never seen a dog caugh up so much blood. That was scary but he pulled through it. The girl just got spayed last week and is already back to normal, terrorizing her brother. LOL Now I just need to figure out what is causing them to itch so much. 😩. Just started about a week ago and it is all the time. Have a bath scheduled for tomorrow and it that doesn't work the Vet can…

My fur baby Honey woke me up this morning and I noticed one of he pupils we’re dilated and her eye colors no longer blue in that eye. It’s very cloudish. Her behavior is still the same. She keeps it squinted at times. This has never happened. Her doctor can’t see her till the midddle of week. Has anyone seen this before? Is milk with rice a good morning meal for a husky? I usually mix 100ml of milk with some rice and 50grms of commercial food together and feed my pet in the morning and have done this twice, he is 4 nd half months old and has had no loose motion or vomiting due to this. Few people say milk doesn't go good with husky even if it does rice doesn't. Just wanted to clarify my queries. Sent from my [device_name] using http://Husky Owners mobile app

Hi everyone, Our dog Estel threw up again today and we're not sure why? She threw up twice yesterday afternoon and once this afternoon. We put cooked sweet potato (just a tablespoon) in her kibble. Yesterday morning she wouldn't eat but was drinking water. She ate her food in the evening and then again this morning. Since her vomit was more orangy, I'm wondering if it's the sweet potato? Her energy level is about the same - we walk in the morning, she lays around during the day, playful in evening and another walk. I'm just wondering if we should se the vet or not? Thanks! - Estel's Mom

So on Sunday as normal I go over to my parents house to walk the dogs, straight away I notice skyla has a significant swelling on her mouth/neck area so a mad dash to boots for some piriton incase it's a bite or sting , monitor her and she's absolutely fine in herself , Monday morning still swollen so off to the vets we go ! Antibiotics and steroid injection, vets can't rule out a bite or sting but isn't 100% sure so back for a check up the next day incase So check up today and thankfully the swelling has reduced a bit (not loads but enough) the vet thinks it's an infection , god knows what she did but yeah antibiotics for a week and then back for another check up n…

Hello! So my girl got spayed yesterday. I was wondering if anyone had any insight or advice on aftercare- how did it go? So far, so good. She's tried to lick at the sutures twice. I was able to stop her. (No e-collar, rookie mistake on my part- I know.) I have tons of stairs, and I tried to block her from coming upstairs, but she was up here the minute I ran to the restroom. She is taking meds. I'm scared she'll hurt herself. Im concerned she'll want to run and jump when she isn't supposed to. Im a nerve wreck! 😩 thanks!

Help!! Not sure what’s wrong with my husky. Her ears have been irritating and she has been scratching her ears and shaking her head constantly. I bought her a cone to keep her from scratching but she still managed to scratch her ears. I also bought her ear drops that are used for ear mites which is hard to do because she won’t let me. I have also used coconut oil on her ears too but I’m not sure if it’s working. Now it seams it has spread to her nose and eye lid from scratching and rubbing too hard. She doesn’t have flees and she is up to date on all shots. I don’t have the money to take her to the vet at the moment. Please if any one has information on what I can do to h…
