Hey guys, it's me and my fish obsession again. I've just found out that our dorm's no-pet policy excludes fishes (well, except the carnivorous ones for obvious reasons) so I'm thinking of getting a gorgeous male betta! the thing is, I don't think I could get a full tank setup with filters and heater lights and all so as much as I dread the thought of a fishbowl (or any other tanks with no filters or anything else), I wonder if anyone has kept a fish in a fishbowl and actually managed to keep 'em alive for more than a week. I toured Petco last week. I'm sure the smallest rectangular tank they have would fit on my window seat, and my budget. Sooo... if I really could keep…

Hi all I posted a thread about lilly well this is her big little sister Cricket, cricket had a very rough start to life and if your up for the read ill tell you , I volunteered for a animal organization that fostered and rehomed dogs, now cricket was bought to me at about 9pm one night by the police, she was rescued from a dog fighting camp, but because she wouldnt fight she was about to be used as bait for the fighters ( this involved many things as well as ripping there teeth out ) cricket fortunatly was rescued before that stage, but she was beaten prefusely, starved, and almost dead, (in fact the cop that dropped her off said just make her comfy until she passes ),…

Today on my way to work we almost hit this little girl. There was actually two more but they were out of the road. When stopped the owners offered her to is in fear of her getting ran over. She was covered in ticks, and she screams when you come near her or try to pick her up... She walks around with her head down like she's scared to death. Something inside me lit up so we took her. I've never met another dog that has a personality so similar to Meeka. She just wants to be in somebody lap. Meeka was the exact same way. Always pushing between whomever and another dog...we don't know what she is but the pack accepted her immediately Sent from my iPhone using Tapat…

Hey guys, looking after my brothers Staffordshire Terrier this weekend has reminded me of how bad his farting problem is. It is really, really bad and I want to try and help it. I'm not sure what food they are currently feeding him, or how much, but does anyone have anything I can recommend them to try? I was thinking maybe feeding him nothing but fresh chicken, rice and maybe some pumpkin and yoghurt for a few weeks, will this only work temporarily? I'm pretty sure he is allergic to beef, so that has already been cut out of his diet. Any help will greatly help my nose

I might be getting a 2 year old girl horse around the end of July, and I have no idea what to name it if it doesn't have a name or if I don't like the name. Any ideas? Sent from my iPod touch using Tapatalk

My boyfriend has two beautiful kitties Sky and Winter, their mom was a stray they found behind their house and Sky and Winter were able to be handled and cared for and brought indoors. These cats are actually the most well-behaved I know, they never use their claws when you are petting them and just loveee cuddles. Anywho here's a couple pics of Mr. Winter sunbathing!

Ok, I'm off on a little trip in August and I want to take my old lab with me. He's 12 and very unsteady on his back legs. I'm terrified if I leave him for the week he won't be here when I get back, he's no different to how his been for the last few months I just worry! Anyway I was wondering if I'll be doing more damage then good? It's about a 4 hour drive and I'll happily stop as many times as he needs but thought I'd see if anyone had any ideas on how to make it more comfy for him. Is it worth maybe getting him a steroid jab to give him something extra for the trip? He is already on a daily pain killer? Any ideas x

So as a bunch of you know about my friend that bought the white GSD puppy a while back that was only 5 weeks old... Xena is doing great now, and got huge!!! I thought I'd update you even though she's not mine She is adorable, but way naughtier than Smokey! She's fine with my friend's Rottweiler (adult boy about 5 years old) but she growls at my pups or other dogs She wrecks havoc in their house, eats all the kids' toys and can get into any room no matter how hard they try to keep her out, she even got out through a window the other day! And I thought GSD were obedient and naturally well behaved it makes a Husky look like a well behaved little angel!

So, first off he's a little sweetheart! the breeder warned that he's the most active & naughtiest of the litter, but I have yet to experience that He's one of 8 pups, 3 being black & white, and the other 5 brown & white. My father got him for me (since he knows I've been wanting a red one ever since our first Border Collie way back!) I didn't exactly plan another puppy right now, but hey it can't be that bad doing them together and then being out of the puppy stage! and besides, since Smokey and Wollie still doesn't get along after 'the biting incident' I figured Smokes could use a pal to grow up with! Now then you ask, what's with the weird name?…

So, I can't wait for Tuesday to come!!! It's a 4 hour drive to pick up this little dude from the breeder, and 4 hours back again... Most of you already know that Border Collies are my first love, and I've been wanting a red one for years! Thought I'd get Smokey a little brother so they can grow up together And also, now there will be a little puppy (with sharp puppy teeth!) to bite the crap out of her, just like she's doing with every dog she meets! but somehow I doubt that she would let another dog sit on top of her!

okay.. so I don't know if any of you have ever experienced a Chihuahua. but if you have, you'll know what I mean. they have either one of two very extreme personalities. one- very shy and skittish. scared of everything- including their own shadow. haha. or.. two- very.. moody? okay, no. it's just straight grumpy. if you wake them up, they growl/snap at you. if you try to move them on the couch, or anything, they do the same. now, I have two chihuahuas. one skittish one, and one grumpy one. the problem is, if paisley tries to mess with her, or jump on the couch, or anything.. Lexi (the grumpy chihuahua) snaps at her.. and paisley snaps back. they got in a fight …

I joined last year in October thinking my daughter was going to get a husky. Well, at the Shelter in December we were Volunteering and she made a comment she really wanted her dog not just to volunteer. So, we went next door to Animal Control and they had a 1 Yr old Husky that would not respond to us, and my daughter said a puppy will be better. Went back to the Shelter ( Non Kill the one we Volunteer with) and she picked a black little girl puppy. I said ok, now be sure theres other puppies here, walk away, she did and said yes she wanted that one. I said ok, while I went to get the card, I told her look at the other two, she did. Well, she couldnt decide. So I had the …

well, I don't know if anyone remembers my topic about the two pits next door that are very dog aggressive. but, yesterday, around 6:00pm my neighbor called me freaking out. it had been storming on & off all day and I guess the dogs had escaped the yard (of course) and they couldn't find them. I was at my grandparent's house with my chad and paisley, so I loaded them up and took them home then went out driving to try and find the two dogs. needless to say, I didn't. we live in a very rural area where 80% of the land is corn fields. my entire house is surrounded by corn, except my one neighbor and the front yard is facing the road. anyways, I drove around until about…
