I don't know if life has been fortunate towards me or something, but these two screen shots are less than one week apart. Honestly, I'm not used to receiving gifts and stuff so I have the feeling that something bad is about to happen, lol.. Not sure how to feel

Banished is a city building game, no blood, no feuds - just build your city and keep your people fed, warm and happy! It's a one man, Luke, project distributed by Shining Rock Software (which I presume is him). While it sounds trivial, it's not and I have a feeling it could get to be very addicting!!! If you like that type of game it's worth a look and you can't beat the cost US$19.99!

I'm trying to help a friend out, on a forum he's getting up and running. He's gotten it so when you look at the names on the active you can see their colors: Admin, mod, etc. And in chat, and when you look at their names for new posts on the side. But we can't figure out how to get the name colors to be on the name when you post, it goes to a title underneath their avatar picture. The software is 3.4.6

And this time I decided I want it all shiny. Plus I'm determined to finally learn how to use it properly in depth; before I've been going back to Windows in no time as I always felt like playing video games. Hopefully now I will take my time going through this OS.

So as most of you know I was previously on Safari. I hated it. That browser always sends me the dreaded "safari can't find server" message. It's not my internet and not the website either. So I Googled my problem out of curiosity and found out that a lot of people--some of them are very tech-y IMO--encounter the same problem with Safari. Most could not solve it. So I threw my hands up in the air and downloaded Opera. Opera has yet to send me a similar message, but it's sooooooooo slow sorry for using so many letter "o"s, but I mean it! It's that slow! It takes 10-15 seconds to move from page to page sometimes. And it's not my internet either because speedtest.net says my…

OK this is probably the 15th time I got zapped by my own laptop in the past 60 minutes. My desk has this semicircle leather part where I put my laptop on and the rest of the table is wood. My laptop is charged to "one of these things" placed on the ground. What am I doing wrong? Every time I landed a finger on, err... every non-keyboard part I got zapped! My battery is currently 36%. The charger is laying lifeless next to me and I'm staring hesitantly towards it. I then shift my gaze to "one of those things". Right now, the thought of screaming "which one of you betrayed me??" is incredibly tempting. Just saying.

So I've been doing a lot of research for an upcoming school project. It's about our privacy on the internet and whether or not the government may violate it in order to find 'terrorists'. I've been doing a lot of interesting Google searches on that one (if the NSA reads this: Hi!), and have stumbled upon quite a few interesting things. One of them is some kind of company called Acxiom that apparently collects personal user data from the internet, collects them for every person it knows and sells them to whoever is interested in them. Read it through for a bit and continued on with my research. I decide to take a short break and grab my phone (which I haven't been usin…

I'm fighting regular expressions - some seem straight forward - this one is giving me fits. Desired replacement (vb.net regex.replace) for a string: begins with either a "("or a "[" [\(\[] possibly a space \s? probably a "v" v? possibly a space \s? possibly an integer \d* <- the problem part possibly a period or space [\.\s] possibly another integer \d* possibly a space \s? then the closing ( or [ [\]\)] so the regex should look like [\[\(]v?\s?\d*[\.\s]?\d*\s?[\)\]] okay, so I left the initial space (2) out and changed the regex to [\[\(]\s?v?\s?\d*[\.\s]?\d*\s?[\)\]] which seems to work. Why did it not present - until the first digits portion of the …

I was hoping anyone who's interested in gaming could signup and register for my friend's website. It's just kind of getting off the ground, obviously, but it's well done so far. www.goodluckgaming.net

No, not that kind - not the ones you swallow ... I've been looking around at the various tablets that are being offered and now I'm going to ask for some suggestions. Something I can use for email / internet when I know my power's going down. Also something I can load with a few books for reading after the power has gone off (getting to be a nightly occurrence lately - short days / cloudy skies) Looking for something that has a strong enough battery so that I can take it to town and use it for internet access there without having to plug it in. I've got an old 15 inch laptop (bad battery / charging system) and a 22 inch monitor so thinking about doing much o…

Ok, I can see this is designed to be a helpful thing but it's starting to irritate me a bit. Basically at the bottom, where the post button is I have a little grey x at the side of the thread. In order to gain access to being allowed to post I have to click on it. Once I do this, the Post option becomes clickable and alls well in the world but it's getting a bit annoying., I've been fiddling around with new browsers coz I got bored with the maxathon one. Tried Chrome but absolutely hated it (pop ups and ad links all over the place, chrome lasted all of ten minutes, lol). I'm now on firefox but I'm not sure if it's this or the new anti virus software I downloaded.…
