Thought this would make a good thread on here since we are all on computers. What free download would you recommend to others? There are plenty of bits of free software out there, and even for someone who spends a hell of a lot of time on the net I'm always amazed to see the free software I pick up on that other people have installed on their systems. So for me, I'm going to start with a small addon for firefox called adblock plus. Ya know where you get on the internet and you open a page such as facebook. you always tend to get the adverts down the side etc, and banners here and there? Now I understand why they have them there, however…

First and foremost, to say the amount of time and effort I put into things, I'm actually quite a lazy person. So some of these come in very handy for me, and maybe would for you to. 1. You can drag and drop any link to the new tab icon in order to open it in a new tab. 2. Better yet you can click it with your middle mouse button and that will also open it in a new tab (or press the scroll wheel) 3. If you highlight a word then drag it to the search bar, it will automatically googlesearch it. 4. Keep hold of shift whilst using your scroll wheel to go back and forward on your browser 5. CTRL and T will give you a new tab …

Although I know there are some of you on here who are quite good with computer related stuff, I am also aware that there are others who are not. First thing well do is download a program that will free up some space on your drives and clean up bits around your computer and registry. Download the program from the following link and install. When installing you will f…

I know quite a few of you on here use windows live messenger, so I thought I would post up a link that you might like www.mess.be From here you will be able to find plugins, addons, avatars, emoticons and more, whether you want to be able to remove the advertisements from it, use more than one instance of messenger, or just add a few new smileys its likely you will find it on this site. They have been running for quite a few years now, and also have there own 'mess patch' that will let you run through a wizard to setup various nice additions and get rid of rubbish from your messenger installation. Warning though ... Its addictive once you …

All, I've just found this site,Swiss Cool Mushing: http://www.swisscool-mushing.com/F_frame.html?http://www.swisscool-mushing.com/F_home.html There is some interesting stuff on there, but it only has an option of German or French text You can of course get a translation of each page by going to www.altavista.com and click on the "babelfish" option. If you click for the French pages and follow the button on the left " Matriel pour chiens polaires" you will find some useful equipment including the Zero DC harnesses, which I have to say are new to me and look very smart and practical... If anyone wants a page t…

Okay -so we do not have cable TV -we have turbo Internet Connections and I watch all my tv shows online, a week later but who cares? I also use a lot of bandwidth for work (files are over 1G) and I download stuff from Audible and iTunes... Richard is super gamer and uses high bandwidth.... So we currently pay about $60/mo for Turbo...... this is our boring life, so.... Time Warner wants to charge for bandwidth usage.... they are testing it in 2 areas in the entire country -of course, we are one of the two! Our bill will go up to $150/mo! that's without TV, just Internet! I am so friggin pissed off. We can't even change to another service! the …
