No, not the kind of raw dogs eat. The raw-functionality the DSLR cameras have! I'm just curious how you take pictures. Do you just take the jpegs out of the camera and go along whatever it creates. do you colour-correct and fix your images afterwards or do you go completely hardcore with raw-images? Since I used raw the first time I can't life without it any more. I don't have to think about colours, contrast and white balance while taking the pictures any more. I just need to take care of the lightening and I can do the rest afterwards on the computer. Sure, it takes a while to develop all the pictures but in the end it's worth it. No orange or blue…

Hi All, I love all the pitapata tickers and phots here. I made the pitapatas for my two dogs, but don't know how to add them to my signature here. Any advice would be appreciated! Thanks, Richard.

Laptop: Dell Inspiron 1545, 3GB ram I got a HD video camera for christmas and I've filmed a lot of videos of Kiska that I'd like to edit and upload (or at least WATCH!) but whatever media player I use - I've tried windows media player, divX, quick time, real time) the screen is just a shot of the very first part of the video and never changes from that. I can sometimes hear the video in the background even if the image doesn't change, but sometimes it's just a loud SHHHHHHHH noise instead. I can't even open the videos in windows movie maker to change the format, so potentially all these little memories of Kiska are lost if I can't find a way to play them Any i…

Nokia's new head has sent an outspoken and frank memo to his staff that suggests the phone giant is in crisis. Stephen Elop describes the company as standing on a "burning platform" surrounded by innovative competitors who are grabbing its market share. In particular, he said, the firm had been caught off guard by the success of Google's Android operating system and Apple's iPhone. BBC News has verified that the memo is genuine. The first iPhone shipped in 2007, and we still don't have a product that is close to their experience," chief executive Mr Elop wrote in the note that was distributed to the Finnish company's staff and w…

Zuma the Reporter (the Siberian Husky who reports for and on the Iditarod) had a link posted to this on her Iditarod page on Facebook: It looks interesting, and might be useful, even if you don't actually run your dog(s) - could be used to keep salt off paws on walks... http://iditarodblogs.com/zuma/2011/01/30/how-to-make-booties/

Just received a statement from easyfundraising to let me know how much I've raised on behalf of SHWA without having to do anything except my normal online shopping. It's easy (no pun intended) to setup and use and the donation is sent to your nominated charity on your behalf. You don't need to do anything except do your on-line shopping via their website IMO it's well worth looking at

Andrew's parents are buying him a digital camera for his 21st birthday March 2nd. They gave him a $300.00 budget and told him to look up what one he wants and they'll buy it for him. Does anyone have an opinion on what's a good digital camera that's easy to work but takes good photos and action shots, but is around $300.00?
