Can be a real pain, no? I dual boot debian and windows 7. I recently found a service called xmarks and it's great for keeping my bookmakrs in linux the same as on windows 7. Uses: People who dual boot, use virtual machines, want their computers at work to have the same bookmarks (for whatever reason) or those who have multiple computers. Also, if you have a HDD failure, or you otherwise can't use your computer, you still have you're bookmarks. I would use google bookmarks, but for some ungodly reason chrome doesn't support them nativly and they don't have a plugin for chrome that I could figure out in my always shoty 2 second checks? Not m…

Is anyone with SKY for their internet? If you are how bad is your internet connection? Mine will die loads of times throught the day and night, and there is no possible way that its because its 'peak time' theres never a set time that it will go off, it can happen at 1am, 4pm, 11am, anything. We called SKY up and they said the only possible reason why it would be THAT bad is because the ADSL filter is broken or faulty, so we changed it and it still does it! Does anyone else have this problem? I know that it could depend on the area, the time of day, the number of people using it etc etc, but it really is terrible! Any help???

Can someone help me please. My brother has asked me to send photos of his daughter( the one who died last year) to a newspaper as they are going to run an article on his forthcoming bike trip in her memory to raise money for a memorial trust in her name to help terminally ill children. She planned to do the trip herself but never made it. Anyway I have most of the recent photo's on my laptop and I need to send them on. HOW?????I am totally rubbish at photo's I can send one at a time but not the whole lot (82) I really need them to go ASAP but I'm going round in circles. They are jpeg on my laptop and they need them that way but how???

I'm a bit technologically challenged and not the best with computers. I'm having trouble with my laptops cd/dvd drive and hoping maybe someone here will have some advice so here goes... I have an Acer Aspire 5810TZ-4657 laptop running on Windows 7. Yesterday my cd/dvd drive stopped recognizing disks. When I first boot up the laptop the drive is visible from the computer tab. Once you put in a disk it disappears and won't run the disk. The only way to run a disk is to restart/shut down the laptop with the disk inside and restart and run the disk from boot menu. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the cd/dvd drive and nothing, still the same problem and it s…

Hi guys, So some may have heard that I have been asked to develop some graphics for someones game and I put the idea forward for us to develop a husky sledding game as there is such a lack of one! We've decided to go ahead with the idea, and seeing as I will be creating the huskies I thought I'd like to ask you guys a few questions to see what you style you would like to see in the game, bearing in mind that it will be flash based so it will not compete with 3D graphics (at least yet!) but it will be more 2D graphics. Thanks for your help in advance as it will greatly help me develop some graphics to put forward for the idea. St…

Don't know if anyone else is following this or not but the new sony portable games console has been announced. It looks like I am going to have to break down and probably buy a new camera at some point in the near-ish future. I am looking at a few months down the line. Any recommendations on something that would be decent to take pictures of my boys, but not too expensive? I know the moment that I get a new camera, I will probably find where Stalker hid the old one.

So what is your favourite peice of tech excluding your computer itself, your camera, and your phone I would have to say my Sky+hd box. In particular the recording element of it. I think unless its formula 1 most of the things I watch are recorded so I can watch them as and when I wish. Which with running this place, is always handy.

Hey Guys, We found a great, dog friendly B&B in the New Forest. The rooms are quite dinky but if it's just a couple and your husky you should have no problem. Our husky Kobe just slept on a mat on the floor beside us, but they had no problem with him & have even had a great dane stay there before... Might be good for someone. http://www.thatched-cottage.co.uk/ Best Geoff & Kobe Blue too HaWooooooo!!!
