ok here is a reminder on how to upgrade, First update and run any antivirus and security tools you have such as spybot search and destroy to clean your machine of any problems go to your C drive and run disk tools scandisk and defragmenter to fix any file problems which will help speed your machine up a little download all current updates go to search type update choose windows update and proceed again run the disk defragmenter Now as this is not a normal update you will want to create recovery disks so you can restore your old Operating System windows 7 8 8.1 etc, again go to search and type recovery disk you will need depending on system 3 to 5 blank DVD's. I have been thinking of buyimg a handhelp GPS machine to record where I have ben walking and see if this is something for me, but those are or can be expensive just to try it out...so I just tought have gp on my phone (note 3) so there must be an app that does the same for not that much money just to try it out... I downloaded the Maverick app and spent the € 6,99 to go Pro and must say does exatcly what I want it to do...and can still listen to music and still work if needed (lol) and all in 1 machine...

I've not bn able to 'write/chat' for weeks on my Samsung 5 then suddenly found I could via laptop. I live on my phone for comms..it's just easier. Is something wrong with Tapatalk? I also read views it was 'hanging' a lot. I've updated, which it did after I tried to download again but it's still hanging..yet I'm IN now via Chrome! Anyone pls...help!! Looking for some advise and thought there's bound to be a techy person out there who can help I've been using Norton anti virus to pretect my pc for a number of years, whilst it appears to have protected my devices it does tend to slow things down. Also it's amazing how my pc starts to become problematic each time the renewal is due, I'm sure Norton does things to my pc to ensure I pay the £70 renewal fee So I'm looking for recommendations, what protection do you use?

Having sold my Roland AT70 Electronic Organ, (just before Christmas - due to a lack of space after our recent move), I received a call, ('out of the blue'), asking if I could repair a Technics SX-EN3 Electronic Organ, (I can only presume the purchaser of my Roland recommended my services). It's not the network. I can connect to the same network on my laptop and surf the net just fine. My phone, in the contrary, can connect to any network and still opens Google at super slo-mo. This drama started 2-3 days ago when I realized I need almost five minutes to get into one of my online games. No settings changes have been made beforehand. Worse yet: I now can't open Uber. The app just kept loading to the end of time. This is a huge issue since Uber is my only way to go to the local cinema I want to watch Blackhat! What did I do wrong?

My advent tower pc had a hissy fit about a week ago. Basically all the blue lights on it started flashing on and off like strobe lighting and the only way to get it to stop was to kill the power to it. Then a few days later I tried to plug it back in and turn it on and nothing, the power isn't going to it at all. Anyone got any ideas on what to try to fix it? Or maybe this will be another "please dad can you look at......" job.

I bought myself a present some time ago for finishing college and it finally arrived! Am I the only person that has her Mac shut down at 20% battery life? I absolutely hated that. I feel like this thing could've stayed working at least ten more minutes at 20%. I thought laptops would only start screaming low-battery warnings at 7%? This Mac Air screams at 30 or 25% (I guess?) and dies at 20%. The moment I plug it in and restart it, it'd say the battery life is at 0%. Does this mean I need to start looking for a new laptop?

I've got my new printer . The only problem now is how to get it upstairs and where to put it. It is a little bigger than I was expecting - 25" x 24.5" x 34" (640mm x 623mm x 866mm). The printer weighs 219lbs (99kg) and the base weighs 83lbs (38kg).

Just upgraded the Sky app on my iPad and it can now send photos to display on the TV. Didn't seem to be advertised anywhere so thought I'd share it. Just tap the camera icon in the app and you can browse all your albums and display them via the Sky box. This is the first photo I put up, wasn't even in the room at the time, so surprised the Mrs when Logan popped up during the news.
