Creation When God had made the earth and sky, the flowers and the trees, He then made all the animals the fish, the birds and bees And when at last He'd finished not one was quite the same. He said I'll walk this world of mine and give each one a name. And so He travelled far and wide and everywhere He went, a little creature followed Him until its strength was spent. When all were named upon the earth and in the Sky and Sea, the little creature said "Dear Lord, there's no name left for me." Kindly the Father said to him "I've left you to the end. I've turned my own name back to…

Minx, you were not meant for this world. You were to good for it in everyway. If suffereing is the way to enlightenment then we should all take a leaf out of your book. I hope you keep my max safe and remind him I miss him every day. All my love today girly. I hope your running free in the long grass playing as you used to. Maybe you will bump into some old friends and play tug of war with a blanket like you did in the kennels. Rest in peace. Minx - A SBT who was burned wth boiling water as a pup leaving her perminantly scared...her owners were prossicuted and she was rehomed to people who tricked me into believeing they w…

It is with great sadness that we learned today of the passing of Asti - Dreamcatcher Blue Aria. Asti was the daughter of our Ria (Linsea Winter Aria for Dreamcatcher) and Chance (World/Int/UK/Irish Ch. Artciblue Chancellor). She was sister to our Seiko (Ch. Dreamcatcher The Wizard). She was a wonderful dog in every way and was much loved by her owners, our friends Pandora and Alison. When Pandora died this time last year, Asti was a wonderful comfort to Alison in her loss. Asti had a good show career, winning 7 RCCs but never quite winning the top honours. She was also our son, Jayson's, first "show dog" winning many Junior Handling classes together. She will b…

When I lost my baby girl last July, I spent many a day reading to help soothe the pain. I wanted to be assured she was going to be somewhere better, waiting for us at the Rainbow Bridge. I just found this portion of the group... and see that obviously I am not alone. I hope these are not duplicates. These are probably the two most tear jerking stories I found, while at the same time, they made me feel so much better. I'm so touched by how much everyone here loves their husky(ies). Stormy was a mix, and as my daughter said the other day..."Mom, Jackson will do great. He's a lot like Stormy. We never broke her spirit, and she learned how to be loved!" Enjoy...The Si…

My little buddy bert Passed away in my dads arms last night , I had to go to vancover a few days ago and mom phoned me last night to tell me my dog was acting stange and not eating he was 16 almost 17 yrs old so I had known that he was comming to the end of his rain of terror with us, So I told her when I got back from Vancover this mornning we would take him in as a family to end his suffering, My father just told me that around 1 am bert was walking around and seem to be disorentated, so my dad grabed his pillow and blanket and layed down on the floor next to bert, My mother found them both sleeping on the floor at 5am this mornning and bert had passed away laying…

This poem has helped me through some tough passings and I hope it may help others posting in Rainbow Bridge Death is nothing at all I have only slipped away into the next room I am I and you are you Whatever we were to each other That we are still Call me by my old familiar name Speak to me in the easy way you always used Put no difference into your tone Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow Laugh as we always laughed At the little jokes we always enjoyed together Play, smile, think of me, pray for me Let my name be ever the household word that it always was Let it be spoken without effo…

we had to have poor solo put to sleep at just age 8 months old on june the 10th 2009. i had waited 6 long years till i could finally get the husky i had always dreamed of. we got solo from what seemed a very friendly lady (not breeder) from ad in the papers. lady showed me all the papers to the pups mum and dad (all fake). after only a week of having her at home we realised there was something not quite right her rear legs kept giving out, we took her to the vets who said it was clicky knees her joints would just pop in and out when ever they felt like it! After the vet asked to look at her papers he noticed there was something wrong. long story short she was inbreed the…

OK so I know this is a dog forum but this cat was cooooool! He deserves a mention... I have been best friends with Naomi (Boris's owner) since I can remeber (I think we were about 6) and she has always been there for me through everything.. Since I've known her I've known Boris, the most laid back cat you ever met. He chose her, just walked into her house one day and mieow'd at her, she picked him up like a baby slung him over her shoulder and he was hers from then on... He had a very good and pampered life, but had not been quite himself recently, well this morning he passed peacefully in Naomi's arms at what we recon to be about 21ish years of age…

My Beautiful Girl Arizona was 13 1/2 years old. Over the past 6 months she has had a very hard time walking as her back legs would give out. A little over a week ago she wasn't able to walk at all. On July 1st we made the hardest decision I've ever had to make to let her go and be pain free. We are shattered and filled with guilt even though we know there was nothing they could do for her. We miss her soo much and feel soo empty. I just wanted to share this.

Well i don't really know where to start, today has been a bit surreal. Molly had an aggressive form of cancer (not sure the exact type) which caused her to have lumps appear and were itchy. A few months ago she had one of the lumps removed (before we knew it was cancerous) we were then told to wait and see if it grows back and how bad as the vet believed she had got it all. Well it grew back again and again she had a 2nd operation to have the lump removed. Once this was done the vets said we need to think about other options as we can't keep operating on the same area...well she could have had chemo, but it would have meant a trip to the vets everyday (she hates going…

Our beautiful little girl Jess has gone off over rainbow bridge this morning to be with her big sister Zoey. She was the most amazing little character you'll ever meet, from the day we brought her home from the rescue when she was only about 5-6 weeks old. She snuggled into Zoey our beautiful GSD & never left her side they were inseperable. We love her so much & the house is so quiet without her. Rest in peace my beautiful girl & be happy & pain free with your big sister Zoey, we will love you forever xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

hey all, after all my escapades with Ice, we lost him a couple of weeks ago, he was only 1 1/2years old and gave me the best year i had with him, in my life. he suffocated after rummaging the bin and finding a ready roast chicken bag, doing what he loved best, he licked out the jiuces from the bottom of the bag and used up all his oxygen, he passed out, and then because the bag didn't come off, he died, i was only out for an hour and came back to find him. it's been realy hard, keep wishing i hadn't left him, miss him soo much he bougth so much joy to us, and everybody he met, was a complete nutter and you could make him do anything for a treat, life just feels so empty n…

The rain has finally came. Since Twinkie arrived,me and her were waiting for the rain. Our wait lasted almost a month. Amazingly, she stayed with my family for a month also. Because of her, my dad learned to love dogs as if they were kids. Mom learned to appreciate them better. I learned how to be a dad. Or at least that's what I'm thinking right now. Since Twinkie's first day in this house, I've been telling her is: "Let's wait for the rain so you can play as happy as you want. When it comes, you'll finally feel better." Sadly, Twinkie acquired Canin Distemper virus. A rare virus that is supposedl…

I know this is normally 4 r Huskies but today i think Minnie deserves a tribute. While we were out today Scooby, Nanook and Mushu killed our family cat of 18 yrs. I always preach on here on here bout cats n Huskies that u should never have the 2 unless.......... u introduce the dogs 2 a house that already has the cat as 'top dog' so 2 speak n she def was that. She didnt take any crap from my 3 n they ALWAYS came off worse so................................ I take it all back NO CATS NO HUSKIES 2GETHER EVA nothin is worse than findin ur little cutie dead on the floor knowin its by ur own babies ! R.I.P Minnie u really were a good…

I just wanted to put this poem up for a friend as recently her beloved sandy gently fell to sleep and crossed over that beautiful bridge where she will run free forever .. RIP beautiful sandy xxx I live among God's creatures now.. In the heavens of your mind, So do not grieve for me, my friend, As I am with my kind. My collar is a rainbow's hue, My leash is a shooting star. My boundaries are the Milky Way Where I sparkle from afar. There are no pens or kennels here For I am not confined, But I'm free to roam God's heavens Among the Doggie kind. I nap the day on a snowy cloud Gentle breezes rocking…

So, i had to put down my cat Squints on wednesday (yesterday.) He had developed a urinary blockage and was in serious pain. We rushed him to the vet and they said surgery starts at $1,500 and goes up if there's anything else wrong (stones, more obstructions, something going wrong...) Unfortunately that was way more than I can even think of pulling out of thin air at the moment and was pretty much strong-armed into putting him down. The poor little guy. Only 4 years old. I raised him since birth and actually saved his life when he was about 3 months old. His brother died of an internal cyst but i caught the one on Squints before anything could happen. Even thou…
