I know he isn't a husky but this is Storm my Doberman, he passed away on 27th January this year without even making his 5th Birthday. We went to the vet just before Xmas and we were told he had dialated cardiomyopathy a heart problem. A month later he was breathing heavy dry coughing and couldn't lay down. The vets came to our house and i held him so tight as he went to the big park in the Sky. I'm welling up now just typing this so i'm going to keep it short but i wanted you guys to see what a handsom boy he was.

Nikita: May 2, 1993 - March 24, 2010 Nik a was a good boy who had a great life. I'll update my blog when I've had a little more time to let it all sink in. Knowing it's coming doesn't make it any easier.

I lost my boy yesterday. He had a stroke shortly after he got up for the day. We had a few hours to say our goodbyes before the vet came. A golden heart stopped beating, a golden soul is gone. I treasure the time we shared. No other will ever compare... I wrote the following in his memory: "The Blue-eyes That I've Loved So Long" The Northern Lights are brighter now The Bridge is a busier place The blue-eyes that I've loved so long No longer gaze upon my face His ailments are all gone now He runs healthy, wild and free The blue-eyes that I've loved so long No longer staring back at me My heart, swells with emptiness But recalls the joy we shared The …

My mum had to have her dog PTS on Tuesday .... it was actually my brother's dog, but the old story, he left home & Gino got left with the parents! When Dad passed away 16 months ago, Gino went downhill as he & my Dad were inseparable, especially after Dad retired, it was like me & my shadow! But somehow, he carried on, maybe to help Mum through it all, but finally on Tuesday, the decision was made to take him the vets & let him go. He'd stopped eating & drinking on Monday night. But, Gino was 19 years old!! I think he'd more than had a decent time with us! Run free, little man, you were the runt of the litter but outlived the…

Yesterday was the worst day of our lives. We had to but put our big man ,Kamots, to sleep. On Monday Kamots was diagnosed with acute leukemia. Last Wedensday we noticed that he was not himself. By friday he was no better so we took him to our vet. He was not showing big symptoms of being sick- he just seemed tired and under the weather. The vet ran tests which all came back to point that he had an infection. We took hem home, all pleased that he was now on the road to recovery. On Sunday afternoon he seemed to have a some more life in him and we decided to bring him and his sisters for a short walk which he enjoyed so much. By that evening he had …

Hello guys. I work at a Kennel/ Day care facility for dogs. This morning we got the news that 2 of "our dogs" had been involved in an accident last night. They were going for a walk with their owners around their neighborhood when a car hit them. The older Shi-Tzu of the 2 (Patch) died. The younger (Harley) ran off scared. As of this morning he is still missing. All of us here are totally heartbroken. I'm not a little dog lover... but these guys were special. And their "parents" cared for both of them very very much. These weren't people who let them run around recklessly or without leashes. They are 2 competant adults who will stop at nothing to giv…

Its with great sadness and streams of tears im typing this message its one of the hardest things ive ever done!!!!!! Sadly we had to say goodbye to our beautiful baby girl Mya this afternoon:cry:. It turns out her condition was a lot worse than anyone ever suspected the surgeon at the vets couldnt do anything for her that would give her any quality of life. So we have had to make one of the hardest decisions anyone can be asked to make and that is say good bye to her. We only had her for 3 months but she was such a large part of our lives and we had come to accept and realise the reponsibilities keeping a huskybrought with them. …

One year ago today, it was Saturday, June 21, 2008, we took Elke on her last ride. It was a ride we had taken 14 years 8 months, and several days before, when we picked her up at the same vet clinic. This ride was different. She was near the end of her time here. Elke had been a wonderful and beautiful Husky. She had given us so much joy, and at the same time, she had also challenged us beyond belief. Yet she was a member of our family. Her health had taken its toll. She could no longer walk, sit, or stand. Her hearing was all but gone, and the vet suspected she was blind in one eye. But for over 14 years, she had been active, athletic, and free-spirited. …

Just thought I'd pop a remembrance post about my GSD that shared my life for over 12 years, unfortunately he got cancer in his rear & had to go to Rainbow Bridge before his time, but he had a good innings with us. His name was Sabre & was a pedigree dog, but what he had in pedigree, he lacked in being clever! He was the daftest dog I know, would give our Diesel a run for his money for being soft! He was only on lead on busy roads, but in parks, he was let off but never strayed far, always within 10 foot of us & walked in circles around us, herding us! He must have got SO dizzy, always went the same way! Here is my boy, Sabre: T…

Cinderfella is my Cat. I hope it's okay to put him in here. I've had him since I was 3 years old. He's been the best cat ever and I love him so much. He's never bit, hissed or scratched anyone in a mean manner. He's always been there for me. When we went to get him I wanted a girl kitten to name her Cinderella(my fav movie when i was younger) but they didn't have any girls, so i named him Cinderfella. When I was younger I would dress Cinderfella up in my doll clothes, carry him over my shoulder by his tail(i was 3) and he let me do anything and everything to him. He never once tried to get away. He used to lay above my head for bed and to put me to sleep he would knead my…

a few days ago we let our guard down outside a shop, we where getting out of the car, and we unclipped saskia, as a small dog started yapping. she bolted, and got hit by a car. it didnt even seem that hard, and she looked ok, but she just lay there not moving, i thought she was just stunned, but she didnt get up. we took her to the vets, and he told us she had recieved a fatal head injury, and gave us the option of having her put to sleep. we agreed, and she was soon fast asleep. i cant believe in the short amount of time we have had saskia, she has got so much into my heart. and as hard as it was to say goodbye, it was even more heartbreaki…

I just wanted to say a few words about my future mother in-laws dog sox who is a beautiful border collie, unfortunately age as got the better of her and she has been struggling now for a bit with arthritis, heart murmer. She is the grand old age of 12 and has a very good life as she was saved as a puppy. Someone through a plastic bag into the river with 7 pups in it and my partner and cousin heard the splash and rescued them, all the pups were given to various family members and given good lives, Sox is the only one now remaining. Unfortunately though the vet said that with all her complaints it is now time for her to take a rest and go and play with her brother's and si…

Saxon is clearly not a husky but he is the reason we have space for Luna right now He was my first very own dog and the soul mate we all find in our prescious companions. I loved him so much and it's only been 3 weeks so the pain is so raw. He is everything i ever wanted in a dog and i am a better person for ever having him in my life. Hope you like...
