I'm very curious when reading other member thread about their husky winter coat. Here in Indo and most part of south east Asia, we only have two season : rainy season and dry season. That means...our husky will not or ever grow their winter coat...? Just very10x curious when u guys talk about "our boy/girl started to grow their winter coat" or " their started to blow their winter coat". Is there a big difference in appearance when they grow their winter coat and when they blow their winter coat? Or it depends on what type of fur ur husky have ? Do u guys here have any photo of ur boy or girl with winter coat and after their blow their winter coat...? Thanks for readi…

Unfortunately Stella was attacked at the Dog Park. We had been getting really weird vibes whenever we goto the dog park. We'd always show up and someone would shout something along the lines of "My dog doesn't like Huskies hold on while I leave". Stella had been pretty hesitant of dogs in general, but we had made some good progress in the past few Dog park trips. She recently started playing with other dogs! Thankfully, though hesitant she never exhibited any signs of aggression just the typical "I'm overwhelmed please sniff me and let me be on my way" This past Sunday we made a dog playdate with a coworker who's dog was in a similar boat to Stella. Again…

Hello everyone, I have a 13 wk old husky puppy who seems completely healthy and happy, but I'm wondering if it's normal for their front paws to fold over often at the 'wrist' when they're walking/playing. He seems to be able to run ok and definitely doesn't seem to be in pain, it just happens ALL the time. If anyone can help me with this it would be greatly appreciated.

So Buran is 2 years and 10 months old. My uncle got him from a person that mistreated him and wanted to get rid of him asap, the guy had no information about the dog, parents and his blood line yet claiming that Buran is 100% purebred and has no health issues. Either way we love him and don't care what his blood line is and if he's pure bred or not, just out of curiosity and interest we'd wondered if he could actually be somewhat purebred. Personally I think that he could be a working type judging by his coat length... Just wanting to see what other people might think)

Hi Guys I have no pictures on this computer but will post some later. Hopefully this does not break any forum rules. I am wondering if anyone is interested in rehoming a 4 Year old white blue eyed Male Husky in the UK. He is lovely no behavioural problems (usual Husky, listen when food is involved etc). He is lonely. I cannot get another Husky and i think he is simply not happy. Couple with that my wife's allergies have increased and we constantly groom and clean but it is not helping. I want to reiterate i love this dog, i am not asking for money as i would rather he went to the right home. But if anyone is interested please Message me. He would suit a hom…

Hi There, First Time Husky Owner but long time admirer. Just never been in a circumstance to own one but 5 years ago decided to go into business with the family to run a shop so meant was spending more time at home in a dog friendly workspace too. I cannot remember when my fascination with Huskies started, been a favourite breed since I can remember and that was only solidified when I went on a Dog Sledding experience in Gloucestershire in my teens. Anyways, let me introduce the star of the show.....Maya. 4.5yrs Old born March 2016. Incidentily named after Walt Disney's Eight Below, where there is a Pack leader called Maya who protected her Pack during extr…

I had to go out of town for a family member's funeral, and I boarded Olaf at the local pet resort for a few days. I was so anxious to go pick him up before he had to spend a 3rd night there, but, oh boy, he was mad at me! he basically yelled at me when I picked him up, then completely ignored me once I got him home! He definitely had an attitude and it lasted a good 16 hours or so for him to make up with me. He would still follow me around the house, but if he caught me looking at him, he would look away. If I said his name, he would not look at me. If I tried to pet him, he would turn his head or walk away. He finally forgave me and made up with me, but I was ups…

Hi! I'm a new husky owner, and my pup is 5 months old. I noticed his paws are like a cat's tongue, its rough and when I brush my fingers on one side its really prickly. Is this normal?

Hello, we got this puppy and she is clearly a mixed breed. She is 2 months and 1 week old. She might be a lab-husky mix but I want more opinions on that. Another question, her ears were quite floppy before but now it started to look like this, will they ever go up? Thank you!

Hi everyone! I haven’t posted in here in a long time, but I just wanted to thank you guys for all your past info you had given me. It helped A LOT! They are all doing wonderful! They are very well behaved, all 5 of them have made our family complete. The first picture is of our girl Avira (white) and our boy Nava. The second picture is of our red boy Osiris, he has green eyes. The third picture is our Agouti girl Naomi and the last one is our red girl Maya! They are AMAZING animals. They get along very well with each other and our two boys ADORE them and absolutely agree that Huskies are one of the best breeds. Again thank you for your ideas and advice along the way. 😀

Hi all I'm looking for a reputable breeder that has agouti huskies. I understand they're very rare but was wondering if there is a breeder out there that specialises in this particular colour? I'm willing to travel anywhere in the world but am in no rush as I'm willing to wait for the right one. Thanks in advance

Okay, the technicalities, "This large bump on the dogs head is actually the occipital bone which can be more prominent in both breeds and individual dogs." For those who don't know what I'm talking about, some dogs, have a bump on the top rear part of their heads, other have a smaller one or none at all. Commonly called the "knowledge bump", "smart bump" and a few other things. It's said the the larger, more pronounced that bone is the smarter, more intelligent the dog is. Of my two, Avalanche has a very pronounced knowledge bump and without doubt he's the more intelligent of the two. So, what's your experience with dogs and their knowledge bumps???

Lately, well for about 2 months we have been having a problem with Balto eating breakfast. When we sit his bowl down he has to sit and shake and then we tell him go and eat and at night he is just fine and eats but during the day he smells it and walks away. I leave it down for about an hour, I try hand feeding him, dumping a little and then resetting it down, but nothing is working. He just won't eat in the mornings. We took him to the vet and everything checked out fine but still he won't eat breakfast. His weight is fine, poops are fine, plays the same, drinks the same, etc. but no breakfast except every once in a while. So at night we try giving him more to make up fo…

I am getting a little worried about my 7 month old husky! I feel she is super short & small for her age! She is AKC registered and her parents were on the bigger side. She is just so petite in my eyes. Shes roughly 30 lbs so i feel her weight is fine its just her height im concerned about!

Hello everyone, I am new to the website. Nice to meet you ^^ I have a question. I found an abandoned dog on the street which has got multicoloured eyes, Husky like coat and body shape but big ears and small snout. He was beaten up by people and starving so I decided to adopt him and brought him to my farm. The thing is he has got massive, bat like ears! I am not sure if he is pure breed or not. (Doesn’t matter if he is mixed breed) I am so curious about your opinions. Heres some pics of him: Any thoughts? Thanks.

Mt 2 year old Milo has a tendency to mope around the house some times. 4 months ago our Eldest Husky Bendy had passed away and he did mope and search for him. He has gotten better but I've noticed he isn't his usual self. He doesn't shadow me when I do stuff in the house or even stay in the same room. He tends to lay around a lot when he gets this way. He perks right up when I give him treats. Perhaps this could be due to having to seperate him from our newest addition to the family?

My new doggy, Poppy closes her eyes lots; she is 11 months old now and she just seems to whenever nothing much is happening close her eyes. kind of like she is feeling sleepy. I don’t remember Flash doing that before and so I wanted to check if anyone else has any idea what this is about. Maybe she is just sleepy! But she does it sitting up most of the time and not lying down. When she hears something she will open her eyes. Thanks!

Hello all! It’s my first post and was just after some advice. We have a 2 year old female husky who’s having a bit of problems with reflux and throwing up. It seems to be mainly bile. We go to the vets when it happens they say there are no blockages or anything. She’s had bloods and scans previously and she’s fine for about 1–2 months and then gets another episode. We feed her on butternut box, which we’re thinking of changing but she’s a fussy eater and the only thing she enjoys to eat. I would love some advice if possible. Many thanks Ted
