Hi I'm the owner of 2 Yorkshire terriers and they are small doggies, I really want a husky but today I've seen a video of a husky killing a poodle even though everything was chill there. I feel very bad I thought they were very kind breed, I don't know what to do since I really love the huskies and Im sure if I would be alone with a husky everything would work out Ive seen many videos of how to train, how they think and what to do. But Im scared for my little puppies yorkies, they are very kind to me maybe to some other dogs outside they show some aggression if a dog sniff their ass too much but otherwise they love people I don't know what to do.. ** I have removed t…

Asking the question in the title. Not really interested in debates on breeding woolies, or on breeding in general. Health testing is really important to me, too. (Have shown AKC and UKC conf, as well as done a lot of fostering and rescuing, and have had a lifetime's worth of internet battles on dog breeding.)

Hey guys! Does anyone have any tips for keeping (poop) out of my husky’s fur?? I THINK she’s got a wooly coat. Poop gets stuck in her fur almost every time she goes (i call her poopy booty ). Although i do it the best I can, I’m having to wipe her/ clean her up every time she goes to the bathroom and it’s a lot. But i wasn’t sure if anyone had any tips!! I was just wondering if it were possible that my agouti dam has whelped a red agouti puppy? His fur is obviously different then his copper colored sister and the rest of the other puppies are agouti.

I have a 12 week old puppy we brought him home at 9 weeks old and he has been absolutely terrified of my husband the second he saw him! We have tried everything behaviorists have told us to do and it just isnt working. He used to pee when my husband would step towards him at all or look at him or even try to pet him. And he isnt doing that anymore but he will crawl away from my husband who has been nothing but loving we have even made sure that I am the one who disciplines him in any way when teaching potty training or not to nip at us. I am at a loss please help! We love him so much but we have a baby on the way and we need to know that he will be ok with either of us.

-40 'C (= -40 'F) isn't anything new to us. Last 3 winters we've been blessed with Montana and North Dakota winters (after I moved). And while we most often hover around <-25,-30>, we've had a bit of cold front few weeks ago. My phone app also shows a wind-chill, which unless experienced, can't really be explained over the internet. Of course, it's all interpolation, but I am pretty sure the presented -47 'C was significantly worse than -40, which is relatively commonplace and thus can be experienced often (as a reference point). When it hit -43 'C, my girl was bravely hauling me against the wind just fine. Voluntarily, and clearly enjoying the…

Chula was by far the smallest of the puppies in her litter. She is still really small (she's just about 33 pounds, weighed yesterday) and slightly under 20 inches. She's just about 8 months and 1 week old. Are there other behaviors that tend to go along with being the "runt"? I don't know that she is actually a runt since she will probably end up "in standard" as far as female husky size goes, but she's obviously small. She used to be food aggressive, but we've managed to train that out of her with lots of time and patience. She'll now eat out of a bowl while my hand is in there, and she'll "leave" a bowl of food when given the command, something she NEVER did when sh…

Hey guys so I now have 3 huskies I blame ye for letting me believe it was normal to accumulate more and more. But I've just found out I'm pregnant. I walk them using a walking belt and I'm wondering is this safe while pregnant? As it is arround the stomach area. Me and Alan are gone from each other so it's down to me. Josh could walk one but no more and he normally gets bored of walking one Sent from my MAR-LX1A using Tapatalk

Hey, whats up guys! I had a question about my dogs coat compared to now versus last year. Around these months last year my husky had a very nice and thick coat, but this year it looks like there is no undercoat at all. He was born at the end of July of 2018..so at around 9 months his coat was nice and full. He is about 19 months now and as you can see his undercoat isn't like last years. He is healthy and very energetic and his weight is the same, since he was 9 months old. ......The only difference is, I was feeding him Taste of The wild last year and now I feed him Acana, but I don't think that's the reason?! Any help is appreciated. Thanks! Both pic…

My husky Mavi just turned 1 year old. Now I know it is a high energy bred and I knew that when we got her but, Mavi is one of those extreme high energy huskies (some of you out there know what I am talking about). We really love her. However, she drives my husband NUTS! I just had her spayed ( which I was told could help a little) and I try to take her to the park everyday. But at what age do huskies start to have less energy? It has come down to if she doesn't calm down we have considered finding a new home with another dog. The problem is that the husband is military and will be deployed in October and I will be working full time and its not fair to Mavi to be locked up…

so i was getting a retriever puppy as i wanted to get a dog for sometime now, but i guess destiny intervened as i saw this one and a half year old husky in a poor slum pet shop and they treated him really badly (he is not having enough food at all, no activity as he is always tied to one place), and i am almost certain that he was stolen from his owner (didnt have any luck to find his owner through pics tho), anyway i really want to save it from that place although its probably going to cost me a considerable amount of money which isnt my strongest point at the moment also it is my first dog and i keep hearing huskies arent really newbie friendly, anyway questions are: -a…

Hope rescue is a pet chairty that I support they have been hit hard by Corona and worse in the recent flooding in Wales the shop they run to raise funds was destroyed They are still having to look after dogs in the kennels and face the running costs of the kennels if they can not get some help they will have to close and rehome the dogs they currently have So can people try to help them and small charitys in thier own area who are all suffering at this time from not being able to raise funds Even some zoo's are now saying to lower costs and keep animals fed they may have to feed animals to each other. Corona has had a huge impact on many places some …

https://ibb.co/16mG66W Hi, there! I recently adopted a 9-week old husky puppy. I've noticed that he does not look the same as other huskies I've seen -- in fact, I contacted the guy I bought him from to ask if he was actually pure-bred. He had so many brown patches on him, I started to think maybe he was part shepherd or something. The guy said he is pure bred, but the mother is agouti. Is it possible that's why my puppy looks different? I think he's adorable, and I know his pelt will change more as he ages, I'm just curious to know what his colouring is! https://ibb.co/Tg4JbJw

We've had Luna about two and a half years and we both love her. She's never been an affectionate dog, doesn't come for cuddles or to be petted. In all that time we've never shouted at her or raised our voices to her, never told her off for anything even when she killed 2 hens, just shown her love and kindness because she's a lovely dog who deserves it. Last year we nearly lost her when a bladder stone ruptured her bladder, worrying times, but she's right as rain now. That said I am concerned about her. We have a dog flap and she's always spent a lot of time outside, coming in around our meal times and in the evenings to sit in the lounge. In the last 3 months or so tho…

We rescued a husky about 6 months ago and we are trying to find out if she is a Mix. Our other one is part Malamute so he is 2x her size and is more malamute appearance wise. Our lil girl Leia however, is about 35-40 lbs and looks like a husky but had interesting qualities for one. For starters my mom thinks she looks like a coyote which i laugh at but totally is true. Leia is mainly grey and white with hints of brown on her tail. She has blue eyes and is a very lean dog. Leaner than the huskies I have seen. She's got a very thin frame and face and you can feel her ribs and cheek bones but according to the vet she is at her ideal weight. When she lowers her tail she looks…

I want to have a full grown pomsky. I am curious about the full grown pomsky breeds and I have a son. How big does adult pomsky grow? I read an article about husky on a site, but the comments of full grown pomsky are very important to me. https://petanimalworld.com/full-grown-pomsky/

I have eight little husky puppies who will be finding homes in three weeks, but I have no clue what colors they are beyond white and people keep asking. I am assuming Wolf Gray or Sable?? Any suggestions from pros would be appreciated since we are not breeders and the puppies came unexpectedly with our adopted husky (she is full breed).

Hi guys I’m new here but today we met a 13 week old German shepherd who almost double my size which made me ask myself is my 12 week old husky healthy and a normal size for his age. he is on a very good diet and eats 2 smaller and 1 large meals a day. hard to get a decent picture in which you can accurately tell his size but he is roughly a foot tall, thanks

Hey Guys, So I thought I would share with you some of my recent experience with bathing and grooming my huskies. Now bathing is normally a hand full at the best of times and would normally end up in 4 bottles of shampoo, even more so with Keiko and his masses of fur☹️. Now my daughter is a Scentsy consultant and said to me about trying out the dog grooming products, so I ordered the Shampoo and the No Knot Spot for their backends as this is a nightmare also. My shampoo arrived and after bathing 7 dogs, to my amazement, I still had just under half a bottle. Next came the grooming, now, Kieko hates his is tail and back end being touched at all as it matts together bec…
