Hi, this is probably a silly question but I can’t really find much information on this. I have a 6 month old pup and was wondering if anyone knows if there is anything wrong with organising play dates with his parents? The breeder has both mum and dad and over lockdown we’ve spoke about it being nice if they could meet up but I just wanted to double check peoples opinion on this! Thanks

Someone please help before I lose my tiny grip on sanity, lol. I was out walking Buddy and Star this morning and bumped into a guy, bloody nice bloke, who knew his huskies. He recognised the Budster's bloodline, which I already knew as we have his KC papers, and he said that Star looked like she had some Zero in her. After many hours of searching t'internet all I have discovered is that the BSHRA don't let them race. I guess the reason being that, from what the guy told me this morning, Zero dogs are flippin' fast. Can any of you good people cast any light on this please? We don't have any of Star's papers so can't trace her tree back for clues. …

Hey all, I couldn't find an appropriate place to post this. I went for a weeks holiday to Little Dumpledale Farm in West Wales. https://littledumpledale.co.uk/ The farm is run by a family who has a love for dogs. Each of the premises on site is dog-friendly and the main thing, husky secure. I was able to leave my three like I do at home in the garden without any fuss or issues. I am from West Wales, so to give you an idea of how great this place is, I could have stayed at my parents' house, but this suited me much better! I am sure there are other places in the UK that will accept dogs. The challenge I found was dog-friendly and husky-friendly ar…

Neighbourhood Watch Network is supporting Sussex's Police and Crime Commissioner, Katy Bourne, who, in partnership with the Association of Police and Crime Commissioners (APCC), has created an online survey designed to understand the public’s perception of dog theft, enforcement, and the prosecution of offenders. The survey includes a question seeking views on whether dogs should be treated in law merely as property when they are stolen. Having a common understanding of how the public feels about this issue will help inform discussions that PCCs and NWN will have nationally, as well as allow police forces to better understand the public’s view…

Today I almost lost my baby boy Blu 🐺! We just came back home from the dog park and a little walk around the block. Came inside to refill his water dish and I noticed he wasn't glued to my side, like he normally is! Hmm, maybe he went down in the Man cave in the basement? Nope.. I checked everywhere and No Blu 😳!! Thinking to my self, he couldn't of opened the door! So I asked my neighbor that was out side! Did you see Blu come out of the house and he said No I didn't!!! As soon he said that, Blu is running down the road to my neighbor!!!! So never Underestimate Your Husky !!! I learned a lesson to lock the screen door! Now I know how a Mother feels like when she…

Hi there! Im in a bit of a breed pickle and thought Id get some opinions. So back in May my BF bought a 2 month old Husky puppy. *Supposedly* purebred Siberian and can be papered (but wasnt due to covid, also from what I know, not a super reputable breeder, idk). By 2 mo he was already really big, but didnt think much of it. As he got older, he got bigger. A lot bigger. Family and friends joked about us feeding him stereoids, and another asked if he was Malamute since at 9 months he not only dwarfed their 4 year old male Husky but also has a very different texture in coat. I started getting curious and decided to do some research. He just turned 11 mon…

I noticed this morning that Poppy’s left leg spasms while she was standing up and she kicked out and looked at her leg. I noticed this happen a couple of times as well about a month ago. I haven’t seen it since. Is this something to get checked? I don’t remember seeing it happen ever with Flash before. Thanks.

what age did your sibe's eyes stop changing colors? Luka's mommy has beautiful warm, brown eyes and his dad has pretty ice blue eyes. when we saw pictures from the breeder we noticed his eyes were dark blue. from what i've heard this means they were going to turn brown. correct me if i'm wrong. i'm including a picture of what exactly i mean. well he's nine weeks old now and the edges of his eyes have stayed greenish/brown. but the centers have changed to lighter blue. (more like ice blue) so now i have no idea what color they're going to be!? lol it doesn't matter to me either way, i'm just dying of curiosity. ill have to upload a pic of his eyes…

So I just rescued this full blooded husky from these peoples house. His name was Hoss (we named him Boss it's a little less uncivilized lol) and we noticed besides being completely emaciated he's got this rather large mass in the middle of his head. It's very hard like a bone, in fact I'm almost positive it is a bone. It doesn't hurt him at all we poked at it quite a bit and he didn't seem bothered by it. But it does worry me and my husband... any one know what it may be??
