After the celebrations of the festive season, many people feel low when going back to work. Professor Cary Cooper from the University of Manchester Institute of Science and Technology has now given a name to such feelings of gloom: acute post-bank holiday depression syndrome. Though Professor Cooper says the cure for the syndrome lies in having an extra day's holiday on 2 January, for many it is still a bleak month. According to The Samaritans, suicide levels are at their highest at the beginning of the year. 'There is a great deal of pressure to be enjoying yourself [in the festive season], and, for some, the anticlimax of New Year can hit particula…

Hi everyone! I am on the hunt for a husky puppy. I live in los angeles, california and have been looking for a breeder to buy a husky from. I have done a lot of research but one question still remains unanswered: What is the youngest age I should look for when buying a pup? I want it as young as possible, but I also don't want to take the pup away from it's mother to early. I have heard 8 weeks is the safest age for the puppy development to take them away, but some are saying that 5 weeks is fine too. It seems 5 weeks is too young and even illegal in some states? Another number thrown out there is 12 weeks. That seems a little late…

It's the advert for Pedigree with the husky in the cage awww don't you just want to go and save her awww. To be honest Sarah she looks a bit like Kimba!! I think if I remember rightly her name is Mishka feel free to correct me if I am wrong!!

OMG - I just let our 8 week old husky out the back, and the neighbours dog was barking like mad (as usual), and Isis tried the climb fence (I think im going to need a bigger 1). When she realised she couldnt go over it, she tried to go through it. When that didnt work she went beserk - barking and howling for the first time since weve had her!

The calendar on here can be used for all sorts of things, if you want to use it as a reminder for yourselves that you need to flee / worm your sibe, please feel free, or if you know of local events, you can also add things onto it.

Hi all, Has anyone here ever had a husky with an extra dewclaw? The day after we bought Isis home we realised something didnt look right and noticed that she had an extra dewclaw on her rear leg, which sticks out quite a bit and is rather large compared to herother toes. Well I took her to vets today for her 8 week jab and the first thing he said was "Oh i haven't seen one of these in a while" referring to her extra dewclaw. He then went on to tell me about easy it would have been for the breeder to remove it before she was 3 days old, and that now if i decided to book her in for any other surgery (referring to having her sterilis…

I'll start it all off. Here is Gizmo, he is my oldest Sibe at 11 months. He is such a special Sibe as he was our first Husky and has taught us all so much about the breed like - The love to run, dig, have cuddles, lots of attention, and more. Also this January (17th) will be his first birthday!

Remember, if a dog was the teacher you would learn things like: When loved ones come home, always run to greet them. Never pass up the opportunity to go for a joyride. Allow the experience of fresh air and the wind in your face to be pure ecstasy. Take naps. Stretch before rising. Run, romp, and play daily. Thrive on attention and let people touch you. Avoid biting when a simple growl will do. On warm days, stop to lie on your back on the grass. On hot days, drink lots of water and lie under a shady tree. When you're happy, dance around and wag you…

Well, i have really enjoyed today, me, marc and my stepson Matthew went to my uncles for xmas dinner along with my mum, dad, brother and grandad. Thoroughly STUFFED now and had a great time playing on the Wii that we got the kids for xmas. Kimba was really hard work though, it was a new house to him and he didn't settle at all. The only time he was still was in his cage while we had our meal and 2 mins before we left when he was flat out on the kitchen floor lol. He went to the toilet all over the landing (not pleasant) despite being out in the back and going on 3 walks while we were there, luckily my uncle loves dogs and didn't mind as we cleaned…
