Personally, I do not let my dogs on the furniture. There are a few reasons for this firstly hygiene, dogs walk around outside picking up who knows what on their paws and transfer it onto the furniture where humans sit/lie on. Secondly you have the hairs when people visit you don't want them to get covered in dog hair, and lastly I think it takes away the human alpha role, dogs are dogs and should be on the floor kept at the humans feet. Darn it, they did get up when I wasn't looking ...

STORY OF HUSKY OWNERS Early last year me and my wife Sarah decided that we would have a husky (more my wife than me lol) as an addition to our family home. Because of this Sarah started joining groups on the popular website facebook and spoken to quite a few other owners around the country. This then sparked off an idea. I have been running websites, and more so forums for quite a few years and do so as a hobby. I have never particularly been fond of having pets, and Sarah has never been particularly fond of the time I spend on the internet at home. Sarah whilst sat there on facebook one day mentioned that it would be a good idea if we could get a fe…

Everything went FAB with the breeder today, and she agreed that we can have one of her pups! We've picked a black and white girl and she is so so sweet and cute! We're thinking of naming her Eika...but will decide when we pick her up! Which will hopefully be around 27th March - depending on when she is definitely ready as she could be ready a week early, they're 3 weeks old and have started to take to proper food quite well. I am ridiculously excited! i took a couple of pictures with my phone so will put them up in a little bit!

Help........ Neighbours have got a dog, she's about 18 months old and is a dalmation crossed with erm, dunno. They got her from a family who said she was house trained and didn't need a crate - How wrong they were! The dog does nothing but whine and cry constantly i'm dreading summer as i have my back windows open but really don't want to listen to that all the time! They've also said the other day that she's pooping in her cage and in the house. I thought that dogs didn't like to mess where they lived? I get on well with next door and want to help them if i can, anyone got any ideas??

I can get 7 week old alaskan husky/malamute puppy for $100 from a musher or a 9 month old alaskan husky/malamute mix who has experience in a team for $50 or a pure breed akc siberian husky pup with chapionship bloodlines who will not be available for adoption until Feb 21st for $750. I like them all but can't have more than 2 pets where I am living at this time. I have a cat and know older dogs sometimes have difficulty adjusting to cats but I fell in love with him and the 2 pups. I don't want them to have to go to another home, because I know they will love the pampering I give my animal family members. I am really confused I want all three but know I can't have all th…

After I'm logged into the board for a while I get an error message that comes up which reads "Ajax error: an error has occurred in an ajax request of the chatbox, please report your admin". Wha' does this mean? Then everything slows right down and I have to leave and come back on. I did try googling ajax and when I read it, it went straight over my head bounced of 4 walls and still flew over the top. Helpppp...

So what is the neatest trick that you have taught your husky, or does your husky do something that you would see as unique? Kimba doesnt really have one that is unique, but is still relativly young. He is however pretty good when we get him to touch something for a treat even from quite a distance. I guess we need to teach him some more

Ours has to be when Christmas a few years ago we (me, my wife and the two kids) were sat around the table playing a game with Maltesers. We were rolling them across the table to each other and the person receiving them had to use just their mouth (as ya do). Well we were playing this for about 5 minutes when I rolled one to my wife, it was about an inch away from her mouth when... Smithy jumped up on the table from nowhere nicked the sweet and ate it . To this day whever he sees that red box he's there bouncing and wanting. (yes I know chocolate isn't good for dogs so we sneak in doggie drops)...

hi i recently did a thread when dief's lead fell off, well the problem is with using the halti on dief and taz the little ring that you attatch lead to seems very thin, and if the dogs shake their head the lead just pops off, i went to a couple of pet shops to check out the leads and to be honest i was shocked, when i played with the springy bits on the leads most of them were loose and a couple looked like they were ready to drop off to begin with, so my question is has anybody else had this trouble with the haltis, and can anybody reccomend a good lead, i would rather ask for what you have rather than links because you cant really see from a picture what the lead will b…
