Hi Guys, There have been some conversations going on over the past couple of weeks regarding the rehome section of the forum. There have been members who have no doubt been signing up to the forum looking for a free husky for breeding, and also we have had people in the past that have been getting them simply to sell on in order to make money. All of this is obviously a problem. As it is very difficult for any of us to say who is genuine and who is not, we have decided to place some restrictions on the rehome section of the forum. From now on nobody who is not registered on the forum will be able to even see that the area exists, which will stop people sig…

OK then peeps we are back online. As you can see the forum looks different and there are a lot of things missing. Dont worry I have only put the forum back online because people are waiting for it. I am still adding things (and a lot of them) at the moment so you will see things start to reappear in one form or another. In the meantime, enjoy the new forum, take a look around, enjoy posting First on my list of stuff to add: Tapatalk Forum Runner Chat bar Purely because these are things that will stop people accessing the forum or asking questions. I will update this topic as I go.

Ok, here goes a really long post! First off yes i'm back - I've decided my life would be easier on here - my god i've nearly worn away all the buttons on my phone!!! A huge thank you to everyone for your kind words of encouragement and for chewing my ears well and truly off!! Appologies if I ramble on somewhat but I hope you understand my gibberish . I've not been "home" for a week, i stayed away from facebook as well but things didn't improve. To cheer myself up i went and bought a new lap top (woooo!!!! it's FAST!!) and have been playing the sims on it every night - I now have 3 kids to look after on there and i'm pregnant wi…

Hi Guys, So I think I have done just about enough winding people up about what these are now, so its time to announce what this is all about. HUSKY OWNERS DOLLAR - OR HOD FOR SHORT HOD is something that you will begin to earn on and around the forum for various actions. Think of it as a forum game of earning points. The whole idea of this being that no matter who you are on the forum, no matter what usergroup, in this one activity is everything. Your HOD will be earned as anything in life by going to work, however this one is a job we all enjoy which is being on here. You will earn points based on your contribution towards the activity on the forum on…

As you all know at our Husky Camp 2011 we were joined by Jos (aka Bluewolf) from the Netherlands. This got us thinking about how we can get members from abroad to some of our meets so....... we have decided to try and fund raise throughout the year to raise money for a member from overseas to join us at our annual camping event!! Accommodation will be provided all you would need is clothes and a camera. You would also be collected from the airport and taken back after the mini break. Hopefully this will give our overseas members something exciting to look forward to! So - how will it work? Well, nearer the time - pr…

Ok guys have a look at this picture It has been kindly donated to us by @sutsibe to put money towards the cost of flying a member from oversea's to next years big camp in April. shipping would be rather expensive so going to start the bid at £30 if anyone would like to make an offer? The picture shows 90 years of Siberian Husky history, with some of the most famous dogs and people in the earlier history of the breed in the US... it comes with a cheat sheet showing who each one is as well along with the frame. @Sutsibe feel free to add any extra info on here Right guys - start bidding!

Gallery is here OK Guys, The gallery you have all been waiting for is now here and you will see the new forum under the General area of the board. There is still a fair amount of work I wish to do on it, however it is of a state where it can be released to you all and used. The zip functionality I am having issues with, however you can now select 20 photos at a time to upload which should make the uploading of images a lot better. SIZE The size of images allowed will remain the same at 1024 x 768 which to give you an idea is around the same size as some desktop wallpapers. They will still need to be resized to this be…

Here we are. Welcome to the new forum. I am still going around editing a few things and playing around so if you find anything you feel it out of place then please let me know. You will find the 'New Posts' button is no longer new posts, but new content. 'View New Content" can be found just under the search bar and will show you all new content including gallery images, new blogs, new posts and threads (now topics) etc. This will take some getting used to. You can set up all your preferences from the My Settings page which you will find by clicking on your username in the top right of the screen. If you click on view new content, you will see that …

Hi all It's been brought to my attention that I was rude and ignored people at the last camp oh and I "couldn't give a toss" if people turned up or not. Those that have had the pleasure / misfortune (your call lol) to have met me will will I hope, know that that is furthest from the truth. We had over 100 people at both camps individually this year and I wore a hoody with my name on so hopefully people who haven't been before would know who i was. I met some lovely new faces and had some great chats, and also caught up with people i'd not seen for a while. If i failed to make you feel at home at camp i am truly sorry. I strive to make camps welcoming fo…

HUSKY OWNERS OFFICIAL UK CAMPS Since there has been a lot of specilation regarding the camp, we have decided to get this announcement up tonight for people so they know where we are at. The UK husky Camping Trips are becoming bigger every time (there was around 10 of us at the first one) and so we have decided to get them a little more organised so that people know what they are doing year by year and can sort themselves out if they want to come. WHAT HAVE WE DECIDED? So what have we decided then? Well to be quite honest this last camp has gone down very well with people, and so we have decided to make the abergele camping trip a yearly ev…

Gallery Donations - We need a better one Yeah yeah its the money thing .... Not posted this up for a good while regarding donations for no other reason than I dont like doing so. The site is a free site for everyone who owns a husky to use and enjoy as many of you do. However the galleries are getting a bit of a mess and struggle to manage when people want to upload a large amount of photos, and there is a solution. Only problem being is the solution costs money. Photopost is an addition that I can add to the forum that costs around 90 for a licence. Purchasing this would mean that the galleries within our profiles would be switched off and replaced …

Following on from the thread no doubt you have all read with some sadness, I just want to clarify a few things. Now I don't often post things like this, so please appreciate what i am putting below is not being bossy or whatever, it's coming from my heart. When I set this forum up in 2008, my sole intention was to have it as an extension of me. I wanted somewhere that would reflect how i feel about the breed and also how i am as a person. I think people that have joined here as a whole have taken that extension to themselves, 99.9% of the time people are polite, courteous and really helpful. The 0.01% of the time that something out of the ordinary happens and e…

Hi Guys, I know a lot of our members use mobiles on the site and use tapatalk/forumrunner. However for some this is not an option. This actually came up today with a member who kicked up a stink about it (stupidly) and is now completely banned from the site. I brought that up because this announcement shows how stupid it is that someone has been banned for something they would not have even brought up had they waited. If you navigate to the site, you will now get a mobile version if you are on your phone. Now bare in mind I have entered as many mobile browsers as I can and have tested a fair few. Only one has not worked so far which I am working on at the…
